Feneis Connie Lynn (McCausey) Feneis, 27, of Fowler, passed away Jan. 13, 2000 as a result of an auto accident. She was born in Lansing May 13, 1972, the daughter of Wayne and Arlene (Spitzley) McCausey. She lived in the Fowler area all her life. She was a preschool teacher at Delta Mills Christian Day Care. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and a 1991 graduate of Fowler High School. She married Larry Feneis in Fowler Aug. 7, 1999 and he survives her. Also surviving are her parents, Wayne and Arlene McCausey of Fowler; one sister Michele (Joe Hanses) McCausey-Schafer of Westphalia; two brothers, Gregory (Cathy Merritt) McCausey of Holt and Daryl McCausey of St. Johns; seven nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Amanda, Morgan, Erika, Sean, Chase and Damon; parents-in-law, Larry and Erma Feneis of Westphalia; brother and sister-in-law, Jason (Kelly) Feneis of Grand Rapids. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, burial at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Rademacher officiating. Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m., Sunday with a vigil service at 8 p.m., at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Fowler. Barbara Marie Loeb, 62, of Grand Ledge passed away Jan. 4, 2000, in Lansing after a short battle with cancer. Barbara was born in Grand Rapids Feb. 16, 1937, the oldest daughter of the late Armen and Velda Rabbai. A graduate of Sexton High School, she was a bookkeeper at Paul Automotive and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael Parish over 40 years and a member of the St. Cecilia Guild. She devoted over 30 years teaching C.C.D. classes and unselfishly gave her time and talent working on numerous church activities. She will be sadly missed by her immediate family, husband, Sam; daughters, Teresa (Chris) Manning of St. Johns, Lisa (Pat) Malloy, and Deanna Loeb, all of Grand Ledge; son, Patrick "P.J." Loeb of Lansing; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Amanda, Ashley, Abigail, Allison, Andrea, and Samantha; and sisters, Beverly Swint and Connie Gamel both of Potterville. She was recently preceded in death by her son, Michael Loeb. Mass was Jan. 8 at St. Michael Catholic Church; interment followed at Strange Cemetery, Oneida Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Barbara Loeb may be made c/o Sam Loeb to support Barbara's many favorite charities. The Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Patricia L. Loynes, 59,of Half Moon Lake, Stanton, and formerly of Henderson, passed away Jan. 12, 2000. She was retired from St. Lawrence Hospital. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17 at St. Cyril's Catholic Church in Bannister. The family was served by Smith Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Diana S. Binegar, 52, of New Lothrop, passed away Jan. 9, 2000. Funeral services were held Jan. 12 at Smith Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Catherine Feeman, 94, of Chelsea, went to be with her Lord on Jan. 11, 2000. She was born Catherine Rogers on Aug. 7, 1905 and married Hyrtl Feeman on Dec. 29, 1928. She lived most of her married life in Lansing. They retired to Bear Lake in 1969 and spent winters in Florida until 1998, then made their permanent residence in Chelsea at the Chelsea Retirement Community, a United Methodist facility. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Hyrtl; daughter, MarthaAnne Riley of Howell; son Harlan Roger (Carolyn) Feeman of St. Johns; four granddaughters Ann Pappas and Lark Samoulian of Howell, Julie (Brad) Winsor of Middleton, and Catherine (Robert) Fick of Mason; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 13 at the Cole Funeral Home, Chelsea. Memorials may be made to the Chelsea Retirement Community, Adrian College, or Bear Lake Christian Church in Kalkaska. Wilma R. Sowle, 97,of Maple Rapids, passed away Jan. 9, 2000. She lived most of her life in Maple Rapids. Funeral services were held Jan. 13 at the Osgood Funeral Home, with burial at Sowle Cemetery. Grace M. Upton, 98, of St. Johns, passed away Jan. 10, 2000. She was born May 23, 1901, in Kunkle, Ohio, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Frisbie) Heller. She lived in Maple Rapids most of her life. She was a member of the Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star #76. She married Percy Upton on Oct. 29, 1922. He preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1976. She is survived by one son, Robert (Mary Beth) Upton of St. Johns; one daughter Maxine Drown of Largo, Fla; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Setterington of Maple Rapids; three brothers, Harold (Charlotte) Heller of Florida, Forest (Betty) Heller of Ohio, and Paul (Ann) Heller of St. Johns; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Jean Loudenbeck; two brothers, Roy and Gareld Heller; and one sister, Ruth Warren. Funeral services were held Jan. 12 at the Abbot Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Maple Rapids, burial at Sowle Cemetery with Pastor George Brown officiating. Memorials may be made to the Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church. Norma J. Romanczuk, 66, of St. Johns, passed away Jan. 7, 2000. She was a retired factory workers for Chrysler Trim Plant, Ionia. Funeral services were held Jan. 10 at the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns. William Robert Schultz, 65, of Elsie, passed away Jan. 7, 2000. He retired in 1983 from Eugene Welding in Elsie. There were no funeral services. The family was served by the Smith Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Michael Lynn Ackles, 46, of Holt, formerly of Elsie, passed away Jan. 8, 2000. He was retired from General Motors. Funeral services were held Jan. 11 at Smith Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Gary Pawson, 55, of St. Louis, passed away Jan. 7, 2000. He was an Electrician through Local #557 in Saginaw. Funeral services were held Jan. 11 at Alward-Carter Funeral Home, St. Louis. |
