Patricia A. Nemetz
Patricia A. Nemetz died February 23, 2001 at the age of 65. She was born in Matherton, MI on June 17, 1935, the daughter of Clarence and Geraldine (Ludwick) Bennett and lived in Maple Rapids most of her life. She was a homemaker, a coordinator for the Senior Citizens of Maple Rapids, was a member of Maple Rapids United Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge #157, and received a pin of chivalry from the Rebekah Lodge. Patricia married Henry Nemetz, Jr. in Maple Rapids on September 2, 1968 and he survives her. Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly (Tedmann) Salisbury of Maple Rapids, two grandchildren, Garrett and Hannah, four sisters, Dorothy (Gerald) Bashore of Lake, MI, Jean Dutton of Maple Rapids, Edith (Milton) Marble of Chesaning, and Mary Bennett of Maple Rapids, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert, and one sister, Diane. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 26, 2001 at the Abbott Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Maple Rapids, burial at Sowle Cemetery with Pastor Charles Farnum officiating. The family will receive friends 7-9 P.M. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Dale S. BlandingDale S. Blanding died February 23, 2001 at the age of 77. He was born in Greenville, MI on February 6, 1924, the son of Donald and Gretel (LeValley) Blanding and lived in Dearborn before moving to St. Johns. He was a 1931 graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School, a maintenance worker, and a veteran of World War II serving as a Marine pilot. Dale married Madge Splane in Vero Beach, FL on September 16, 1942 and she survives him. Also surviving are one daughter, Beverly Brittain of Canton, MI, two sons, Robert (Margerite) Blanding of Livonia, MI and Bruce (Linda) Blanding of Jackson, TN, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one brother, Wendel (Connie) Blanding of Painted Post, NY. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at the Osgood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 11 A.M. 3 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice for Clinton County or the charity of the donors choice. Dale D SquiersDale D Squiers, our loving father, crossed over to eternal life February 21, 2001 at the age of 81. He was born in Fairfield Township, MI on October 10, 1919, the son of Avery and Bertha (Bensinger) Squiers and lived in Ovid most of his life. He was an engineer/maintenance person with the State of Michigan Bridge Structure and Repair retiring in April 1985. He was a member of Shepardsville United Methodist Church, and the Methodist Mens Club, was a U.M. lay speaker, a camp counselor at Lake Louise, was on the West Michigan Conference Camping Board, Scout leader, and was a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers-Saginaw Section. Dale married Jane Cook in Ovid on September 14, 1944 and she preceded him in death on October 2, 1999. Surviving are one son, Roger (Dena) Squiers of Owosso, four daughters, Irene Scott of Surprise, AZ, Carol Melson of Okemos, Helen Squiers of St. Johns, and Linda (Tony) Kusnier of Elsie, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister, Faye Henderson of Haslett, special friends Jerry & Carol Wyckoff of Prudenville and many Ovid area Amish friends & Lake Michigan United Methodist Church Camp Friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 24, 2001 at the Shepardsville United Methodist Church. Pastor Kay Pratt and Rev. Ray Sundell officiating. Burial will be at Middlebury Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Ovid. Memorials may be made to the Shepardsville United Methodist Church or Lake Michigan United Methodist Camp. Age 60 of Elsie, Michigan passed away Sunday, February 18, 2001 at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at 11:00 A.m. at Smith Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Pastor Charles Danforth and Pastor Olan Thomas will officiate. Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery, Fairfield Township, Michigan. Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 A.m. until the time of the service. Audrene was born in St. Charles, Michigan on April 1, 1940, the daughter of Nelson and Lucy (Trumble) Stringham. She was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in St. Johns, Michigan. She resided most of her life in the Ovid and Elsie area. Survivors include a sister, Cheryl (Terry) Zimmerman of Ashley, MI, two brothers, Darus (Catherine) Stringham of Elsie, MI, and Orlin (Karen) Stringham of Fowler, MI, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and one sister, Karen Hart. Memorials may be made to the Family. |
