Marvin Feldpausch Marvin A. Feldpausch, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, died Wednesday May 16, 2001 at the age of 74. He was born March 13, 1927 in Westphalia the son of Frederick and Dorothy (Thelen) Feldpausch and lived in the Fowler area all his life. He was a retired farmer, a retired Federal Mogul employee with 32 years of service, a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post # 3733, member of the Legion of Honor in the Catholic Order of Foresters, Holy Name Society, Ushers Club, Fowler Conservation Club, U.A.W. Local # 925, and Community Resource Volunteer. Marvin married his wife of 49 years, Regina Schmitt, in Fowler on May 14, 1952 and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Elaine (Dennis) Pohl of Portland, Marilyn (Rick) Fisher of Holt, Duane Feldpausch of Grand Rapids, Ralph (Diane) Feldpausch,Denise (Steve) Simon, Janet (Tony) Schafer, Lloyd (Rhonda) Feldpausch, Roy (Patty) Feldpausch, LaVern (Nancy) Feldpausch,Teresa (Jack) Pline, Donna (Scott) Piggott, all of Fowler, Giles (Karen) Feldpausch of St. Johns, 34 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren,three brothers Jerome Feldpausch of Fowler, Francis Feldpausch of Westphalia, and Hilary Feldpausch of Lansing, one sister Dolores Schueller of Fowler. Preceded in death by his parents, grandson Matthew Simon, and brother Elmer Feldpausch. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 19, 2001 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, burial at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Ray Rademacher officiating.The family will receive friends after 2:00 P.M. Thursday with a rosary being prayed at 3 & 8 P.M. Thursday and Friday at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Fowler. Military graveside honors provided by V.F.W. Post # 3733. Pauline A. (Thompkins) Powers, 80, passed away May 15, 2001 at Clinton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Greenbush Township on June 9, 1920, the daughter of Raymond and Edith (Silvernail) Thompkins and lived in Clinton County her whole life. Pauline loved people and serving the community of St. Johns. Over the years she served as chairman of the American Cancer Society, Central School P.T.A. president, Welcome Wagon hostess welcoming new people to the community, past member of the Rebekah Lodge and Clinton County Extension group, and sold World Book encyclopedias. She attended Rodney B. Wilson High School. Pauline married Donald R. Powers in LaGrange, IN on July 31, 1937 and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Rita Freeman of Haslett and Susan (Lynn) Ferguson of St. Johns, one son, Gary (Karin) Powers of St. Johns, seven grandsons, Mike (Susan) Freeman of DeWitt, Steve (Lillie) Freeman of Lansing, David (Julie) Gwisdalla of Vacaville, CA, Scott Ferguson of St. Johns, Tim Ferguson of Tucson, AZ, and Andy and Dan Weber of St. Johns, two granddaughters, Stephanie (Brian) Schafer of Laingsburg and Nicole Weber of St. Johns, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Ira Williams of Clare, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, daughter, Peggy Weber, grandson, Troy Powers, one sister, and three brothers. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, May 18, 2001 at the Osgood Funeral Home, burial at Eureka Cemetery with Rev. Steve Weinberger officiating. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Wednesday and 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Clinton County. Susanne J. McCoySusanne J. McCoy, died Tuesday May 15, 2001 at the age of 60. Born in Findlay, Ohio on July 15, 1940, she was the daughter of Allen W. and Joan P. (Willing) McCoy. She loved crocheting and genealogy. She is survived by two sons, Arthur K. Albers of Alaska and Mark Albers (Kelly) of St. Johns, two daughters, Colleen Drake of Fort Bliss, Texas and Shawn Albers of St. Johns, five grandchildren, two sisters, Pat Borton (Bob) of Taylor and Mary Beth Pung of Gaylord, and her mother Joan Matter of St. Johns. Susanne was preceded in death by her father. No funeral services will be held. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Clinton County. Arrangements by Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns. Evelyn L. AllanEvelyn L. Allan died May 16, 2001 at the age of 74. Born in Coldwater, MI on August 2, 1926 the daughter of Maurice and Daisy (Haynes) Johnson. Evelyn was a homemaker and formerly owned Allans Antiques in St. Johns. Evelyn worked as a clerk with auctioneers, Jim Korrey and Mel White for many years. She married Robert D. Allan November 16, 1944 and he preceded her in death August 1, 1973. Evelyn is survived by four daughters, Sue (Doug) Lazell of Perrinton, Pat (Jim) Sebrell of Dewitt, Laura (Doug) Carney of Kalamazoo, and Marcia Forquer of Holland, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one sister, Sarah Ann (A.J.) Paul of Granger, IN, and one aunt Eva Stewart of Coldwater . In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by granddaughters, Kellie Sebrell and Danielle Fink and a sister, Phyllis Miller. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 19, 2001 at the Osgood Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Weinberger officiating, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery with her grandsons serving as casketbearers. The family will receive friends 3-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Donald R. ReynoldsDonald R. Reynolds, 69 died Friday May 11, 2001 at his residence following a brief battle with cancer. Mr. Reynolds was born September, 25, 1931 in Cheboygan, Michigan. He graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1950 and served in the U. S. Navy for 4 years serving in the Korean Conflict. The Reynolds family moved to Ovid in 1968 coming from Lansing. On July 10, 1955 he was married to Reva Rinckey in St. Johns. She preceded him in death on August 2, 1996. Don retired from the Lansing Fire Dept as a Captain in 1983. He was a member of Shepardsville United Methodist Church, Owosso V. F. W., Michigan Sheriffs Association, N.R.A., Shiawassee Sportsmens Club, and Michigan Firefighters Union. Survivors include his three daughters, Robin (Ron) Shivley, Jean (Bob) Ruff, and Teresa (Kevin) Russell all of Ovid, grandchildren, Trina and Crystal Shivley, Adam and Emily Ruff, Curtis and Donielle Heinze, and Nathan and Nicole Russell. Don was preceeded in death by son Everett in 1973 and son-in-law Pat Heinze in 1993. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May, 15, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Ovid, with Rev. Kay Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday and 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Donors Choice. |
