Doris Munger

Doris Benson Munger, 85, of St. Johns passed away June 16, 1999. She was born Aug. 24, 1913 in belding, the daughter of leRoland and Mary Benson. She moved to St. Johns in 1920 and married Kenneth Munger in 1937.

Doris was a member of the First United Methodist Church of St. Johns. She was a long-time Grayh lady with Clinton Memorial Hospital and was the first president of the Swegles School Parent Teacher's Association. She loved playing both golf and bridge.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth; children, Benson (Bette) Munger of St. Johns and Scott (Jill) Munger of Dayton, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Heidi Munger of Bethesda, MD, Chad Munger of Chicago IL, Derek Munger of Dayton and Stacy Munger of Cleveland, Ohio.

The funeral service was held June 19 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Weinberger officiating. Burial was at Mt. Rest Cemeter. Arrangement were made by the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns. memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or St. Johns Schools Foundation for Excellence.

Peggy Ann Campbell, 38, of Lansing, died June 10, 1999. She was a cashier at L&L Food Center, DeWitt. The funeral service was held June 17 at the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns, with the Rev. Steve Weinberger officiating. Burial was a Mt. Rest Cemetery.

Our dear, beloved mother, grandmother, and greaat-grandmother, Anna M. Glowacki, died June 16, 1999. She was born March 5, 1916, in Chicago IL, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Spetz) Kurncz.

She was marrie dto Frank Glowacki June 26, 1937 in St. Johns. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Johns and lived in the St. Johns area most of her life. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in St. Johns. She was a homemakerl.

Surviving are her children, Frank (Janet) Glowacki of St. Johns, Stanley (Kay) Glowacki of Ithaca, Mary (Gale)VanBurger of Coldwater, Veronica (Bill) Rozen of St. Johns, Jane (Larry) Randolph of St. Johns, Jim Glowacki of St. Johns, Bill (Diane) Glowacki of St. Johns; son-in-law Water Suchek Jr of St. Johns; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1976; daughter, Margaret A. Suchek, in 1986; grandson Steven Franics Glowacki, in 1964; four brothers and three sisters.l

The funeral Mass was celebrated June 19 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Robideau officiating. The Rite of Committal was held at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns. Arrangements were made by Smith Funeral Homes, St. Johns. memorials may be made to the Clointon County Senior Citizen Center or Sparrow Foundation for Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.

Altha Garlock

Altha M. Garlock, 83, of the Wacousta and DeWitt area, died June 12, 1999. She was employed as a housekeeping supervisor at MSU. The funeral service was held June 16 at Houghton Chapel-Osgood Funeral Home, Ovid, with the Rev. Steve Ruger officiating. Burial was at Wacousta Cemetery. Memorials may be given to American Red Cross.

Gertrude Louise Gindlesperger, 74, of Corunna, died June 13, 1999. There will be no local services. Burial was in Pennsylvania. Arrangements were made by Smith Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.

Lyle W. Acre, 78, of Ovid, died June 14, 1999. He was a farmer. Funeral services were held June 17 at the Duplain Church of Christ, Rochester Colony. Arrangements were made by Smith Funeral Homes, Elsie.

Molly E. Falk, 93, of St. Johns, died June 12, 1999. She was born July 19, 1905 in Caro, the daughter of Henry and Marie (York) Fischer.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, and was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association.
Molly's marriage of 46 years to Walter Falk Nov. 28, 1929, ended with his death May 8, 1976. Surviving are one daughter, Elaine (Ken) Larsen of Rochester; one son, William (Joan) Falk of Midland; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Falk of Chesaning; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Mary Rakow of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dora Beyer of Ann Arbor. She was preceded in death by one son, James Falk; seven sisters, Maria Irina, Maria, Anna Katrina Fischer, Esther Tiedt, Leah Leitz, Sophie Gorte, Amelia Graff; and two brothers, Karl and Henry Fischer.
The funeral service was held June 15 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fowler, with Pastor Paul Clark officiating. Burial was at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns. Arrangements were made by the Osgood Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
