Rev. Harold E. Homer

Reverend Harold E. Homer, 85, of Grand Rapids, passed away June 10, 1999 at Clark Retirement Community. He graduated from New York State Ranger School, NY in 1934, then graduated from Taylor University, Ind., in 1946 and then attended Lancaster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania in 1950. He served 34 years in the ministry.

Surviving are his wife Dortha M. Homer of Grand Rapids; daughters Barbara (Albert) Tew, June (Steve) Parks, Joanne (Thomas) Hansen and Jean Bowen; stepchildren Kathleen Beagle and Cayle (Barbara) Beagle; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Arline L. Homer in 1968, and two sisters, Ruth Lambert and Nellie Gleason.

Funeral services were June 14 in the chapel of Clark Retirement Community in Grand Rapids. Interment in Wacousta Cemetery.

The family was served by Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Service.

Wallace Seyler

Wallace E. Seyler, 61, of St. Johns died June 19, 1999. He was born April 4, 1938 in Redford Township, the son of Edward and Margaret (Anderson) Seyler.
Wallace was the maintenance supervisor at the Central United Methodist Church, Lansing.
Surviving are his wife, Jane; son, Mark Seyler of Royal Oak; stepchildren, Kelly Horan of Lansing, Timothy (Debbie) Horan of Bath, and Rhonda (Scott) Pease of St. Johns; six grandchildren; sisters, Carol Seyler and Elaine (Richard) Lansing, both of Livonia; brother, Carl (Ronnie) Seyler of Farmington Hills. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Seyler.
Memorial services were held June 22 at the Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Anderson officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Clinton County. Arrangements were made by the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns.

Quentin Keeny

Quentin Keeny, 71, of St. Johns died June 23, 1999. He was an engineer. Memorial services were held June 25 at the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns with Raymond Parker officiating. Memorials may be made to the Sparrow Hospital Cancer Center.

Herman McLane

Herman G. McLane, 93, of Corunna died June 19, 1999. He was a retired school custodian. The funeral service was held June 22 at Smith Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
