Schueller Erma Schueller, 87, of St. Johns, passed away Dec. 14, 1999. She was born Aug. 13, 1912 the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Lenneman) Schueller. She lived in St. Johns most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are four brothers, Richard Schueller of Lansing, James (Irene) Schueller of Grand Rapids, Paul (Gladys) Schueller of St. Johns, Edwin (Laurine) Schueller of Westphalia; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Gertrude Schueller of Grand Rapids, Donna Schueller of Ionia, Angela Schueller of Lansing, and Linda Schueller of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Ronald, Robert, Mark and Joseph Schueller; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Schueller. The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Johns, burial at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler. The family was served by the Osgood Funeral Home.
James Leroy Bearup, 60, of Bannister, passed away Dec. 16, 1999. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was retired from Fisher Body in Lansing. Funeral services were held Dec. 18 at Smith Funeral Home, Elsie Chapel and burial was at Eureka Cemetery.
Florence M. Wadsworth, 78, of Ovid, passed away Dec. 15, 1999. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a homemaker. Funeral services were held Dec. 18 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Timothy D. Krzyaniak officiating. Burial was at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family was served by the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Home. Harry C. Hollis, 72, of St. Johns passed away Dec. 13, 1999. He was born Nov. 10, 1927 in Lansing, the son of William and Sadie (Rice) Hollis. He was a self-employed electrician. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a avid sportsman and enjoyed sprint car racing. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marie (Bozung) Hollis whom he married June 21, 1952. Also surviving are their children, Cindy (Jerry) Jakus, Rich (Kathy) Hollis, Tom (Rita) Hollis, Jerry (Lisa) Hollis, Sam (fiance Candy Fenby) Hollis, Sandy (Craig) Billips and Roy (Beth) Hollis, all of St. Johns; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;three sisters, Inez Myers, Charlotte Mingus and Carrie (Will) Stratz, all of Lansing; and one brother, Richard (Shirley) Hollis of Mason. He was preceded in death by one sister, Kay Hollis, and three brothers Bill, James, and Fred Myers. Funeral services were held Dec. 16 at the Osgood Funeral Home, burial at Union Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. Timothy D. Krzyaniak officiating. Memorials may be made to Home Health and Hospice of Clinton Memorial Hospital.
Florence N. Luneack, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of St. Louis, passed away Dec. 10, 1999. Memorial services were held Dec. 16 at the Alward-Carter Funeral Home, St. Louis.
Bernida C. Fedewa, 86, of Fowler, passed away Dec. 14, 1999. She was a member of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Christian Womens Association. The funeral Mass will be held Dec. 17 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Westphalia, with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Rademacher officiating. The family was served by the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Home. Marion E. Eichorn, 80, of St. Johns, passed away Dec. 11, 1999. She was Aug. 16, 1919 in Wheeler Township, Gratiot County,the daughter of Charles and Lou (Parker) Easlick. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1936. She lived in the St. Johns area for the past 35 years. She retired from General Telephone Company in 1980. She married Clayton Eichorn March 15, 1941, in Ithaca, and he survives her. Also surviving are one daughter, Marilyn (Dale) Lomen of Cape Coral, Fla.; one son, Gregory (Bonnie) Eichorn of St. Johns; two grandsons, Joshua Lomen and Matthew Eichorn; one sister, Shirley Fisher of Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ellen; four brothers, Arthur, Lewis, Howard and Wilbur. The funeral service was held Dec. 14 at Smith Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery, with Pastor Steve Weinberger officiating. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
Kenneth H. Heibeck, Sr., 87, of St. Johns, passed away Dec. 11, 1999. He was born April 10, 1912 in Duplain Township, the son of William and Mable (Hicks) Heibeck. He lived in Clinton County all of his life. He was a farmer and retired from Motor Wheel after 30 years. He married Zelma Hilts Feb. 3, 1938. She preceded him in death Dec. 17, 1995. Surviving are one son, Kenneth (Barbara) Heibeck Jr., of St. Johns; three daughters, Elsa Herald of Ionia, Joyce (Robert) Paksi and Jeanne Mary (Paul) Krumm all of St. Johns; 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Hazel) Heibeck of Florida, Lawrence (Alice) Heibeck, and Ronald (Bonnie) Heibeck of St. Johns; and two sisters, Frances Halitsky of Indian River and Katherine (Robert) Peck of St. Johns. He was preceded in death by one sister, Beatrice Heibeck, and one brother, Conrad Heibeck. The funeral services was held Dec. 15 at the Osgood Funeral Home, burial at South Bingham Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Tammy S. Fox, 32, of Fowler, passed away Dec. 5, 1999, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born Aug. 28, 1967, in Lansing, the daughter of Richard and Patricia Ann (Braska) Thelen. She lived her entire life in Fowler. She was a homemaker. She was a 1985 graduate of Fowler High School, a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Christian Mothers Association. She was an avid camper, and enjoyed crafts, and spending time with her daughter. She married Bruce T. Fox in Fowler Oct. 15, 1988, and he survives her. Also surviving are one daughter, Brittany Ann Fox; her parents of Fowler; grandparents, Rose Thelen of Fowler and Ellie Braska of Lansing; one brother, Richard M. Thelen, Jr.; four sisters, Wendy (Jeff) Armbrustmacher, Amy (Alan) Martin, Shelly (Gary) Martin, all of Fowler and Tina (Jon) Thelen of Westphalia; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Scott Schueller and Chuck and Velma Courser. The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 8 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, burial at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Rademacher officiating. Memorials may be made to Make a Wish Foundation of Michigan. The family was served by the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Home.
Lester C. Ritz, 84, of St. Johns, passed away Dec. 12, 1999. He had retired from Motor Wheel in 1976 after 39 years and was a member of First U.M. Church.
