Marion Haynes Marion Haynes died March 27, 2002 at the age of 75. She was born in Niagara, WI on March 2, 1927, the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Strauss) Ebidon and lived in St. Johns most of her life. She had worked at Federal Mogul and the Department of Labor for the State of Michigan, was a member of Mason-Holt Eagles #3734 and the Moose Lodge #288. Marion married Maurice Haynes in St. Johns on June 30, 1946 and he preceded her in death on October 3, 1967. Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Banks and Judy (Michael) Redding, all of Lansing, son, Gary (Carla) Haynes of Dimondale, four grandchildren, Michael and Amber Redding, Benjamin and Kathleen Haynes, seven sisters, Jean Ferrari of Florida, Joyce (John) Erdelyan of Nashville, TN, Yvonne Settle of Australia, Beverly Brown of Florida, Joan (Jack) Smalldon of St. Johns, Ellen (Burry) Venstra of Niagara, WI and Judy (Jerry) Czadlo of Des Plaines, IL, two brothers, Don (Irene) Ebidon of Kingsford, MI and Jerry Ebidon of Marinette, WI and two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Ebidon of Aurora, WI and Mitzi Ebidon of Niagara, WI. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, infant brother and three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and James. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 30, 2002 at the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery with Rev. John Toth officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Wilmer J.Wilkie, 81, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of St. Johns, died Monday. Pintarich, DeWitt Beloved husband, father, and brother, employee of Maloney Carpet, was called home to God on Monday, March 25, 2002, at his home surrounded by his family, after a strong and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 49. Paul was born January 16, 1953, in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Esther Pintarich, and sister-in-law, Diana Mueller. Surviving are his loving wife, Debbie; daughters, Kelly and Stephanie; brothers, Mike (Sharon) Pintarich of Traverse City, Derek (Lori) Crandall of Brighton, and Lanny (Sharon) Akers of Owosso; brothers-in-law, Larry (Marlene) Sigmon of St. Johns, Jim (Liz) Sigmon of DeWitt, and Gary Mueller of Howell; father and mother-in-law, James and Mary Sigmon of Lake; and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 29, at 9 AM at DeWitt Community Church, 505 Webb Rd., DeWitt, with Pastor Ed Short officiating. Interment will follow in DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt. "Coach" ODonnell age 81 of Elsie, Michigan passed away Monday, March 25, 2002 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 28, 2002 at 10:00 A.m. at St. Cyrils Catholic Church in Bannister, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt and Rev. Merlin Pratt will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 and Wednesday 2-8 with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Mark was born on February 26, 1921 in Norway, Michigan, the son of Edward Thomas and Mary (Hauser) ODonnell. He graduated from Norway High School with the Class of 1939 and attended Michigan State University on a football scholarship. He received his B.S. Degree in 1951 and his M.A. in 1952. He served 3 ½ years in World War II as a crewmember on a Navy B-24 Liberator bomber in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross Medal and the Air Medal with two Gold Stars. He was also a member of the Elsie American Legion Post #502. On November 29, 1975 he married Katherine Knutson in Owosso, Michigan. Mark was hired into the Elsie High School in 1952, at which time he taught U.S. History, coached all sports and served as Athletic Director. When Ovid and Elsie merged in 1967, Mark continued to teach and serve as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. In 1977, he retired as Varsity Football Coach and Athletic Director. After sitting in the stands for one year, he decided he wasnt quite ready to give up coaching and returned to coaching at the J.V. level and coached the freshmen team his last year. Mark was inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame in 1983, an honor he was proud of and one that was well deserved. Mark was also inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1986, another most deserving honor. He retired from Ovid-Elsie Area Schools after 34 years of teaching. He also taught Drivers Training for 35 years. He was member of St. Cyrils Catholic Church in Bannister and resided most of his life in the Elsie area. He is survived by his wife, Kathy ODonnell of Elsie, daughters, Patricia ODonnell of Owosso, and Theresa (Mike) Hicks of Midland, grandchildren, Laura, Jonathan, Brian, Andrew, sister, Marguerite Spern of Bloomfield Hills, stepchildren, Arlo (Deena) Knutson of Elsie, Elsie (Rod) Loynes of Henderson, Loretta Knutson of Wacousta, and Larry (Laurie) Knutson of Charlotte, stepgrandchildren, Jamie, Rhonda, Heather, Ross, Rita, Erik, Kelsey, & Kristian, and step-great grandchildren, Alexa, Nicholas, Nathan, Tate & Lacey. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Mary ODonnell, three brothers, J.C. ODonnell, Edward ODonnell, Anthony ODonnell, four sisters Elizabeth Ahrendt, Eleanor Montpos, Bernice St. Louis, Anna Marie Frost, two sons, Mark A. ODonnell and Timothy J. ODonnell, one daughter, Elise M. ODonnell, and one grandson, Mark E. ODonnell. Memorials may be made to O-E Football Program or American Legion Post #502. He was born in Buchanan, MI on July 1, 1945, the son of Sylvester and Clara (Reich) Ingles. He was a graduate of Western Michigan University, a computer Administrator for Lansing Christian Schools and a basketball coach. Keith married Kay Gardiner in Buchanan on December 25, 1965 and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Kimberly (Ross) Schnepp of Riverdale, MI, Lee (Sally) Ingles of Jackson, David (Pam) Ingles of Allegan, MI, Paul (Terrianne) Ingles of Dorr, MI, Daniel (Jennifer) Ingles of Greenville, MI and Cale (Shannon) Ingles of Lakeview, MI, six grandchildren, mother, Clara Ingles of Buchanan, brother, Kent Ingles of Greenville, MI and sister, Kay (Mike) Baich of South Bend, IN. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 28, 2002 at the Osgood Funeral Home, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery with Rev. Larry Smith officiating. The family will receive friends 6-9 P.M. Blizzard, DeWitt After a long, courageous battle against cancer, Martha Blizzard passed away on March 23, 2002, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 17, 1917 to Frank and Nettie (Taylor) Cole Norris. On March 2, 1938 she married Arnold Blizzard. Martha spent her life being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was a member of the DeWitt Blue Star Mothers, DeWitt Community Church, Brown Bee's Extension, and was a den mother for the Brown School. Martha was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Blizzard; and brothers, Glenn and Clifford Cole. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Arnold; children, Dale and Kay Blizzard, Larry and Jan Blizzard, and Sue Blizzard; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 27, at 11 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. DeWitt Chapel, 111 S. Franklin St., DeWitt, with Pastor Ed Short officiating. Services 10 a.m. Monday at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel. Edna Bernice Hoover, 90, of DeWitt died March 21, 2002 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing. She was born April 8, 1911 in Indianapolis, Ind., the daughter of Charles C. and Florence L. (Foster) Ketrow. She lived most of her life in Clinton County area. Edna was a homemaker and loved gardening. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Howard of DeWitt; one daughter, Norma Lynn (J. Lawrence) Andrews of St. Johns; one son, Tom (Carolyn) Hoover of St. Johns; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Hoover; one nephew, Charles Ketrow; and two brothers. Funeral services were held March 25, 2002 at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel with burial at South Bingham Cemetery, Bingham Township with clery Rev. Tom Wilson officiating.
