William George Crofts William George Crofts, Grayling, MI Formerly of Bath, MI Age 91, passed away May 17, 2003. He was born Olive Township, MI on April 4, 1912 and had lived in Bath for 60 years, moving to Grayling in 1972. He was employed at Motor Wheel Corp. for 28 years, retiring in 1970. He was an avid sportsman and a wonderful family man. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida V. Crofts in 1977. Surviving are: Daughter, Faye (Ronald) Wellfare and Son, Carl R. (Bethany) Crofts both of Bath; 4 Grandchildren, Lisa (Peter) Angus of Ann Arbor, David Wellfare of Bath, William Crofts and Katie Crofts both of Bath; 4 Great Grandchildren, Lachlan, Audrey; Carli and Graham; Caregiver, Eunice Weaver of Frederick. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003 in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with The Rev. Thomas VanDyke officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan; 128 N. Court St.; Gaylord, MI 49735 or to the American Cancer Society. Ruby L. Teremi died May 15, 2003 at the age of 81. She was born October 5, 1921 in Ovid the daughter of Reuben Spayde and Hazel (Rose) McCormick. Ruby married Roosevelt Altvater in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1958. She also married Joseph Teremi, Jr. in 1958 and he preceded her in death in 1979. She is survived by three daughters, Marjorie Altvater and Judy (Raymond) Watters of Ovid and Joan (Kyle) Kinney of Lansing, five grandsons, Jason, Gary, Dustin, Mark and Alex, five granddaughters, Amy, April, Amber, Kyla and Tessa, two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jimmie, two brothers, Gerald Spayde of Ovid and Donald Spayde of Florida, two sisters, Nora Salisbury and Dora (Lawrence) Salisbury both of Lansing, many nieces and nephews. Also surviving Ruby is special friend Arthur Altvater. Ruby was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Lewis Spayde, four sisters, Edith Remester, Marion Arnold, Nellie Walker, Betty Allen and one great grand son. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Ovid with Pastor Al Kozlow officiating, burial at Maple Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes in Ovid. Wendell E. Waggoner died Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at the age of 80. He was born February 28, 1923 in Clio, Michigan the son of Russell and Goldie (Calderwood) Waggoner. Wendell retired from the City of St. Johns as the Superintendent for the D.P.W., was a former Randolphs Digging Service employee and a World War II veteran. He was a member of Eureka Congregrational Christian Church and Eureka School Board, St. Johns Public Schools Board and Clinton County Intermediate School Board for 35 years. He graduated from Elsie High School, coached Little League baseball, was a life-long U of M sports fan and loved hunting and fishing. Wendell married Donna Jean Witt on June 15, 1947 in St. Johns and she preceded him in death on February 7, 2001. Although he served his church and community, family was always his first priority. Surviving are his sons, Ron (Vicki) Waggoner and Russ (Sheila) Waggoner, granddaughters, Keli (Mark) Chapman, Kim (Dave) Raymer, Kristen Waggoner and Hali Waggoner, great grandchildren, Makela Chapman, Dawson Chapman and Austin Waggoner, sisters-in-law, Fern Waggoner, Ellen Waggoner and Erma Robinson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lani Mae Waggoner, brothers, Marvin Waggoner, Howard Diz Waggoner and Gordon Waggoner and sister, Wanda Randolph. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 17, 2003 at Eureka Congregational Christian Church, burial at Eureka Cemetery with Pastor Bob Ditmer officiating. Visitation will be 9 A.M. 9 P.M. Friday with the family present 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. at the Osgood Funeral Home. Dylan Tyler Forsyth, DeWitt, MI Dylan saw the world through eyes of innocence and purity as only a child of God could. Although his life was short, it held great meaning. He is a symbol of Eternal strength, courage, faith and love. Dylan's spirit will forever touch the hearts of those who love him, the infant son of Lisa Humphrey and Michael Forsyth died May 14, 2003. Born April 22, 2003 in Ann Arbor, MI. Dylan was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, William Blaine Humphrey, Richard Forsyth and Harold Giffels. Survivors include his grandparents, Duane and Patricia Humphrey of DeWitt and Philip and Tami Forsyth of Bath; great-grandparents, Thelma Humphrey, Waldo and Elizabeth Cheesebro and Joyce Giffels, all of Lansing and Frances Forsyth of East Lansing; 1 aunt, Kathryn Forsyth of Bath; 1 uncle, Chad Humphrey of AZ; and many other friends and family. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 19, 2 PM at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. Interment will follow in Rose Cemetery, Bath. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Sunday from 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Ronald McDonald House, 1600 Washington Heights, Ann Arbor, MI in memory of Dylan.
