Scott E. Bancroft, born August 5, 1963, entered into rest
October 5, 2004 in El Cajon, California. Scott graduated from St. Johns High School and
signed up for early enlistment in the Navy in his senior year. Philip A. Magsig, Gladwin, MI Formerly of DeWitt Age 46, died October 24, 2004. Born October 21, 1958, in Lansing, MI. Philip was active in the Moose Lodge #2235, Harrison, MI, and the Big Brothers of Clare County. He was an avid bowler and outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his mother, MargieAnn Magsig May 20, 1988. Surviving are his wife, Diane (Zimmermann) whom he married May 15, 1992, in St. Johns, MI; children, William Walden of Lansing, Christopher Walden, U.S. Marine, stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and Jennifer Walden of Lansing; father, Arthur W. Magsig of DeWitt; brothers Paul (Diane) Magsig of AZ and Patrick (Evelyn) Magsig of TX; 1 sister, Anngella Barber of NC; Many aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 29, at Noon at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. DeWitt Chapel, 111 S. Franklin, DeWitt. Interment will follow in Wilsey Cemetery, DeWitt. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Thursday from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Boy Scouts of America, Chief Okemos Council, 4000 W. Michigan, Lansing, MI 48917, the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674, or to the family in memory of Philip. William Michael Carl, Jr., 40, of Dewitt, died October 22, 2004 as a result of an automobile accident. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1982. William worked as a manager at Speedway in DeWitt and since February at the Quality Dairy in Lansing. Friends may call from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Shaw Funeral Home, Lehman Chapel, Bellevue. Services, 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Bellevue. Interment, Hillside Cemetery, Kalamo Township. Memorial donations can be made to his children's college fund. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral, Lehman Chapel, Bellevue. Margaret A. Pung,age 95, died Sunday, October 24, 2004 in Fowler. Margaret was born August 31, 1909 in Bengal Township to John and Philomina (Martin) Pung. Margaret was a teacher starting in 1928 in the country school and retired from the Fowler Public School system in 1970. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the MPSERS and is survived by one sister-in-law, Viola Pung of St. Johns and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Howard, Norman, Alvin "Dick", and Martin Pung and three sisters Marian Maier, Loretta Robel and Eleanor Anderson. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Maple and Kent Streets, Fowler on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Fr. Steve Makranyi officiating. Interment will follow in Most Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2004 from 2:00 9:00 PM at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 11112 Ionia, Fowler. Rosaries will be prayed at 3:00 and 8:00 PM. Rapids. Beverly June Bickford age 81 of St. Johns, Michigan died
Saturday, October 23, 2004 at her home. Beverly was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 5, 1923 the daughter of Louis & Frankie G. (Wheeler) Sylvester. On August 10, 1941 she married Robert E. Bickford in Ohio, Robert died January 19, 1992. She had resided most of her life in Detroit, Ashley & St. Johns, Michigan. Beverly was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and working in her flower garden and family gatherings. She was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, The Altar Society, and helped with food for friends program. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Patricia Marie Lindholm of San Bernardino, California, Elizabeth Bickford of Madison Heights, Michigan, Teresa Louise & Duane Burl of St. Johns, Michigan, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 1 daughter & 1 son, 1 great grandchild, 2 sisters & 3 brothers. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel. Melvin "Andy" Andersen, Laingsburg, MI Age 77, died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Ingham Regional Medical Center. He was born July 1, 1927 in Ingham County the son of Otto and Margaret (Mahoney) Andersen and resided in Laingsburg for most of his life. He married Bernidine Rademacher in Owosso on September 27, 1947. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Laingsburg, the Laingsburg VFW, American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He served in the US Navy in the South Pacific and worked as an electrician for Oldsmobile. Surviving are his children, Gary Andersen of Laingsburg, Shirley (Bob) Ordiway of Laingsburg, Allen (Susan) Andersen of Laingsburg, Ronald Andersen of East Lansing, Debbie (Mark) Moubray of Laingsburg, Yvonne (Ray) Kramer of Capac and Michael (Joyce) Andersen of Dayton, OH; daughter-in-law, Janice Andersen; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Carmack of California, Arlene (Ron) Harmon of Farwell, Nancy (Vernon) Ruble of Florida; brothers, Kenneth (Karen) Andersen of Munising and Duaine Andersen of Arizona; and special pet, Callie. He was predeceased by his son, Eugene; grandson, Jonathan; and sister, Virginia Kingman. Funeral Services will be held at St. Isidore Catholic
Church on Monday, October 25 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Duaine H. Pamment officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church on Sunday
2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Clinton
County Hospice. Karl Ken Wahlstrom age 73 of Ovid, Michigan formerly of Detroit, Michigan died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, Michigan. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel. Burial will be held at Duplain Township Cemetery, Clinton County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2004, 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Karl was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 28, 1930 the
son of Karl Johan & Lisabeth ( Hansen ) Wahlstrom. He graduated from Redford High
School & Henry Ford Community College. He resided most of his life in Detroit, MI,
moving to the Ovid area in 1991. Karl married Beverly Duncan on February 20, 1954 in
Detroit, Michigan. She died May 2, 1997 He is survived by his son, Kenneth Mike
Wahlstrom of Fowlerville, MI, daughter, Marcia & Steve Fabus of Elsie, MI, son, Mark
& Colleen Wahlstrom of Bonnie TX, son, Kirk & Pam Wahlstrom of Owosso, MI, 13
grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 sister Barbara & Glenn Sickles of East Tawas,
MI. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, sisters; Karin & Lisabeth. Memorials may
be made to Ovid Healthcare Center Activity Fund or Hope Network. The family is being

Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel. Elizabeth Betty Bryant Henry Elizabeth Betty
Bryant Henry, age 87, of St. Johns, Michigan, died October 20, 2004. Born in Bay City,
Michigan, the daughter of Dr. Walter and Fannie Mae (Tucker) Lenehan on February 8, 1917.
They moved to Standish, Michigan where Elizabeth grew up and graduated from Standish High
School in 1935. She studied nursing with the Chicago School of Nursing and became her
fathers office nurse. She met and married Donald M. Henry of Omer, Michigan in 1939.
They moved to St. Johns, Michigan and lived there for many years. They had three children,
Dale Philip, David James, and Marilynn Isabel (Henry) Tolonen. She was an active life
member of Radiant Chapter #79, Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for Clinton Memorial
Hospital for 25 years, first at Crichton Nursing Home for 6 ½ years, then transferred to
the hospital for 18 ½ years where she worked in Central Supply. She was a long-time
member of St. Johns Episcopal Church of St. Johns, was active with Boy Scouts and a Cub
Scout den mother, enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She was preceded in death by
her parents Walter Sr. and Fannie Mae (Tucker) Lenehan, her husband Donald M. Henry, her
sister Mildred (Lenehan) Boos of Lansing, brother Walter Lenehan of Winslow, Maine, and
grandson Robert Henry of Oklahoma. Beatrice I. Bea
Pilmore died Monday, October 18, 2004 at the age of 93. She was born in Kent County,
Michigan the daughter of Omar and Mabelia B. (Warner) Scott and lived in Lansing and Grand
Rapids before moving back to in St. Johns 1993. Beatrice married Claude Pilmore August 31,
