Charles L. Dunn Charles L. Dunn, formerly of St. Johns died on November 29, 2004, at his
residence at the age of 67. He was born in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee the son of Stanton and
Pearle Mae (Edwards) Dunn. He was a retired custodian from the St. Johns Public Schools
having worked at St. Johns High School and Swegles School. He married Ellen Halsey on
April 25, 1970 in Pontiac, MI and she survives him. Jeanette Feldpausch, Fowler, MI Died Monday, November 29, 2004 at the age of 71. Jeanette was born in Carson City, Michigan on October 23, 1933, the daughter of Walter and Viola (Thelen) Harr and married Jerome Feldpausch on June 23, 1953 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church where they were members. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jerome of Fowler; twelve children, Debra Smith, Keith Feldpausch, Kevin Feldpausch, Kenneth (Marlene) Feldpausch, Brenda (Dale J.) Feldpausch, Pamela (Rick) Fink, Dale F. (Kathie) Feldpausch, Beth (Michael) Endres, Dean Feldpausch, Wendy (Pete) Cushman, Bruce (Toni) Feldpausch, Lynette Feldpausch; 21 grandchildren; and her siblings, Stanley (Laura) Harr, Thelma (Eugene) Stump, Marie (Archie) McMillan, and Leon (Sue) Harr. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie and siblings, Wilma Falor, Phyllis Klein and Eugene Harr. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2004 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Maple and Kent Streets, Fowler, interment will follow in Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, with the Rev. Fr. Steve Makranyi officiating. The family will receive friends at the Goerge Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, 11112 W. Ionia Street, Fowler Wednesday and Thursday 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with rosaries being prayed Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Thursday at 3:00 p.m. with a vigil Thursday at 8:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Most Holy Trinity Educational Trust Fund or Great Lakes Hospice. Donald R. Messer, St. Johns, MI Died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the age of 79. He was a retired engineer from the Sealed Power Corporation and a US Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Don is survived by his wife of 36 years, Catharine Messer of St. Johns, four children, Bryan (Charlene) Messer of Kentwood, Michigan, Stephen (Julie) Parker of Ringos, New Jersey, Marilyn (Duane) Becker and Kevin Parker of St. Johns, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, one brother, Floyd (Wava) Messer of Fowler. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two children, Shawn & Dawn Messer. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., burial at South Bingham Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Masonic Service at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 700 W. Ash St., Mason, MI 48854. Clara Alberta Cornwell died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the age of 87. She was born April 26, 1917 in St. Johns the daughter of Robert and Daisy (Dean) Wilkie. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge. Alberta married Richard Sonny Cornwell April 9, 1938 and he survives her. Also surviving are two sons Dennis (Karen) of Beverly Hills, CA; Richard (Marleen) of St. Johns; two grandchildren, Richelle (Troy) Shaw of DeWitt and Cole Cornwell of St. Johns; two great grandchildren, Bryce and Braydon Shaw; one sister, Vivian (Madison) Wyrick of Lakeland, FL; one brother, Dean Wilkie of Ovid. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church 200 E. State, St. Johns with Rev. Margery A. Schleicher officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Clinton County. Oma Irene Wallace age 98 of Owosso,
formerly of Ovid, Michigan died on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at her home. Oma was born in Ovid, Michigan on November 3, 1906 the
daughter of Edward & Agnes ( Buck ) Smith. She resided most of her life in Ovid,
Michigan. In October of 1936 she married Everett James Wallace in Flint, Michigan. James
died in July of 1960. Oma had worked for 36 years as a winder for Universal Electric in
Owosso before her retirement. Memorials may be made to Oma Wallace Burial Fund C/o Neva Eisner. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Raymond L. Mayers died Friday, November 26, 2004 at the age of 90. He was born in Bath, Michigan on December 27, 1913, the son of Louis T. and Ethel (Lamberson) Mayers. He was a retired farmer and Great Lakes Seed dealer, loved farming, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, being in the woods and raising chickens. Raymond married Gladys Gillison in St. Johns, MI, on August 24, 1938. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gladys Mayers of St. Johns, two daughters, Marjorie (Karl) Mohnke-Lothschutz of East Lansing and Shirley (Carl) Stump of St. Johns, son, Keith L. Mayers of St. Johns, daughter-in-law, Esteria Mayers of St. Johns, 22 grandchildren, Lynnette (Tom) Johnson, LuAnn (R. Steven) Bebee, David E. Swanson, age 87, passed away November 23. 2004, in East Lansing, MI. She was born September 25, 1917, in Mecosta County, MI, daughter of Hubert and Esther (Green) Smith. Doris was a 65 year resident of Grand Ledge and a long time member of the Grand Ledge Baptist Church. She was employed in the MSU History Dept., retiring in 1984. She enjoyed reading, the cottage at Morrison Lake, playing the piano, baking delicious pies for her family feasts, MSU sports, genealogy, and attending her grandchildren's activities. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, in 1993 and a brother, Kenneth Smith. Survivors include her children, Mary Jane and Richard Northrup of East Lansing, Marta and Jack Giesecke of St. Johns, Kathy and Jeff Jackson of Grand Ledge; 6 grandchildren, Richard III and Dawn Northrup, Karen and Mark Kissinger, Jennifer and Jim Beagle, Michael Giesecke, Betsy and John Eastham, Erika Jackson; 8 great grandsons; and 1 brother-in-law, Kenneth Swanson. 11 AM at the Grand Ledge Baptist Church 1120 Willow Hwy., with Rev. Andrew Ford
officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. The family will

caregivers at Burcham Hills Health Center for their care and kindness to mother. Raymond A. Day age 79 of Elsie, Michigan died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at his home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Pastor Merlin Pratt will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26, 2004 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Raymond was born in Madison, New York on January 15, 1925 the son of Francis James & Kathryn Emma ( Rose ) Day. He resided most of his life in Marshal, Michigan before moving to Elsie in 1994. Raymond married Rose Zatocil on July 13, 1961 in Jackson, Michigan. He is a retired truck driver. He enjoyed model airplanes, golfing, and music. Raymond served in the U.S. Air Force during WW II. He was a member of the Elsie American Legion Post #502, and the Moose Lodge in Marshal, Michigan He is survived by his wife Rose Day of Elsie, MI, 3 sons;

daughter, Rose & Carl Peck of Elsie, MI, 1 step son, Gerald & Ruth Zatocil of
Waterford, MI, several grandchildren, 2 sisters; Shirley Bajarowitz of New York, Gail
& Pat ORorick of Ohio, 1 brother, Richard Day of Bellevue, MI, 3 half brothers,
2 half sisters, many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, and 2
