Harrington-Lyle.jpg (19102 bytes)Lyle Harrington, age 91, died peacefully April 18, 2005 at Selleck Haven in Grand Ledge. Born in Riverdale, Michigan on March 27, 1914. Lyle was a retired Melling Drop Forge employee.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 232 E. Oak St., Ovid with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Selleck Haven, 4957 Burt Ave., Grand Ledge, MI 48837.

Katherine B. Roberts,  48, of Eureka died Friday of natural causes. Memorial services 3 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel In The Pines Funeral Home, Lansing.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Bible Baptist Church, Maple Rapids, Michigan. Rev. Steven Lang will officiate with burial at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.

Arlyne was born in Irvington, New Jersey on August 9, 1923 the daughter of William & Elsa R. ( Korn ) Kilgus. Arlyne married Edward B. Carr in East Orange, New Jersey on June 1, 1946 He predeceased her on November 17, 1997. They moved to Maple Rapids 41 years ago from New Jersey. Arlyne was a homemaker & had worked for the General Telephone Company. She loved to knitting and had knitted over 1000 baby hats and donated them to area hospitals for newborns. She enjoyed being involved in all of her church activities and her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She attended Hope Bible Baptist Church in Maple Rapids, MI.

She is survived by 2sons; Edward & Patricia Carr of Jenison, MI, William & Heather Carr of Wyoming, MI, 5 grandchildren; Edward L., Andrew, Jeremiah, Hilary, & Tashia Lynn, 2 great grandchildren; Sydney & Treyton, 1 sister Vera Martineau of New Jersey, and a special nephew Jerry & Carie Martineau of East Lansing, MI.

Memorials may be made to Hope Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, Maple Rapids, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
