Norman W. Spitzley

Spitzley-Norman.jpg (10214 bytes)Norman W. Spitzley died April 25, 2005, at the age of 82. Born in Fowler on June 20, 1922, the son of Arnold and Anna (Bengel) Spitzley. He was a retired farmer, member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Msgr. Esper Council. Norman married Helen Hengesbach at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler on September 21, 1948 and she survives him.

Also surviving are his children, Linda (Robert) Shippey of Alabama, Jan (Eugene) Pohl of Portland, Dennis (Jan) Spitzley of Fowler and Mary Ellen (Edwin) Schafer of Portland, twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brother, Jerome Spitzley, three sisters, Bernice Hengesbach, Wilma Hengesbach and Arlene McCausey and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Chris Spitzley and brother, Ronald Spitzley.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 29, 2005 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, burial at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Steve Makranyi officiating. Visitation will be 2-9 P.M. Wednesday with family present 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and 9 A.M.-9 P.M. Thursday with family present 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 11112 W. Ionia, Fowler. Rosary will be prayed 3 and 8 P.M. Wednesday and 3 P.M. Thursday with a Vigil Service 8 P.M. Thursday. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Sharon L. Dunlap

Sharon L. Dunlap, 34 of Bannister died April 26, 2005 at her home. She was born on March 31, 1971 in St. Johns, MI the daughter of Dennis D. and Marguriete Hall Dunlap. She had been employed in housekeeping at Clinton Commons in St. Johns prior to her bought with cancer.

She is survived by her children Steven and Samantha of Bannister; mother, Mrs. Marguriete Dunlap of Bannister, sister Mrs. Barbara Leppanen and brother Scott Dunlap, both of Alaska; niece Chelsea and nephew John Leppanen both of Alaska; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Time of Remembrance will be held at her home, 5774 E. Wilson Rd. on Saturday, April 30, 2005 from 2:00P.M. to 4:00 P.M.  Arrangements by Keck-Coleman Funeral Home 989-224-4422
