Charles H. Moore passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the age of 87. He was born January 27, 1918 in Middleport, Ohio the son of Edward E. and Hulda E. (Wilhemi) Moore. Charles served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII, was a Life Member of American Legion Post # 153 and VFW Post # 4113, was a former Boy Scout Leader and former member of the Elks Lodge, and enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities. He graduated from Mountain State Business College in West Virginia and retired from the shipping department at Motor Wheel in 1974. Charles married Anolah Haney on September 29, 1939 and she survives him. Also surviving is a daughter, Margaret (Tom) Webb of St. Johns, two sons, Edward (Mary) Moore of Grand Ledge and Richard (Jane) Moore of Cadillac, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grand children. Charlie was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Scripture service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns (989) 224-4422 with Rev. Fr. Dwight M. Ezop officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior the funeral Saturday at the funeral home. Mark Noel, Westphalia, MI Age 45, loving husband, father and uncle passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2005. He was born on April 1, 1960 in Royal Oak, MI the son of Albert and Judith Noel. Mark was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westphalia, and he enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, hunting, and especially spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Michelle; children, Ryan, Chelsea, Nicholas and Macy; parents, Albert and Judith Noel; siblings, Diane (Dan) Yestrepsky of Clarkston, Albert Noel of Bryan, OH and Mitch (Cari) Noel of Highland; father and mother-in-law, Edward (Patricia) Wieber; brother and sister-in-laws, Wayne (Tina) Wieber, Lynn (Scott) Strong, Brian (Jayne) Wieber, Debbie (Bob) Schaar and Tim Wieber, all of Westphalia; several nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Cecilio Reyna, Pastor at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. The family will receive friends at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Complete arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. Helen Bly Miller, Wacousta, MI Born July 22, 1900 in Grand Ledge, Michigan, the daughter of Santee and Luella Whitney, passed away August 17, 2005 in St. Johns, Michigan at the age of 105. At the age of 20 Helen married Donald Miller and went to live on the Miller family farm near Wacousta where she became a very active member of the community for the next 80 years. Helen was a member of the Wacousta Community United Methodist Church and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; sisters, Leona Phillips and Mable Selden; brother, Guy Whitney; granddaughter, Lori Blais; close family friend, Herman Hoerner; and son-in-law, Thomas Schutt. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Miller of Wacousta and Patsy Schutt of Lansing; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey Schutt of Grayling and Wendy Danko of Onondaga. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews, friends, and neighbors. The family would like to thank the staff at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor in St. Johns for the loving care Helen received there. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 22, 2005,
11:00 a.m. at the Wacousta Community United Methodist Church with the Reverend Tom Peters,
officiating. Visitation Sunday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home,
