Harold Ken Powers Harold Ken Powers died September 17, 2005, at the age of 86. He was born in Howell, MI on August 23, 1919, the son of Franklin and Eva (Hudson) Powers. He retired as a Press Operator from Federal Mogul and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. Ken married Laura Huss at the Colony Church on May 25, 1940. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, son, Ronnie Powers of St. Johns, daughters, Kay (Charlie) Mead of Owosso and Connie Henry of Alma, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother, James Ted (Dawn) Powers of Holland Lake, and sister-in-law, Jeanette Powers of St. Johns. Preceding him in death were his son, Richard Powers, 3 brothers and 1 sister. There will be no visitation or services at this time. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to the American Diabetes Association. The family was served by Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns, MI. Jordan Ross Tyler precious son of Edward & Beth ( Reha ) Tyler of Ovid, Michigan died Friday, September 16, 2005 at Detroits Childrens Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday 6-8 P.M. and Monday 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Dr. Jack Clarkson will officiate and burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Jordan was born in Owosso, Michigan on April 8, 2003. Survivors include his parents Edward & Beth Tyler of Ovid, Michigan, grandparents, Tom & Sharon Tyler of Ovid, Michigan, Donald & Alicia Reha of Bannister, Michigan, great grandparents, Doris Snyder of Ovid, Michigan, Raymond & Helen Reha of Elsie, Michigan, many aunts, uncles & cousins. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice in memory of Jordan. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homess, Elsie, Chapel. Esther M. Wilson died
September 16, 2005, at the age of 85. She was born in Oneida Township, Michigan on October
20, 1919, the daughter of Clarence and Laura (Brace) Stackman. Esther enjoyed drawing
pictures and painting, playing with her grand and great granchildren, going for rides,
eating out and playing cards. She was a member of the Ovid Acme Society, a bowling league
and United Church of Ovid, receiving an award for CROP Walk. Esther married Ralph Wilson
and he preceded her in death in 1985. Mary Jane Quinn age 72 of Ovid,
Michigan died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at Edward Sparrow Hospital Lansing, MI. |
