Surviving is a daughter, Angela Preuss of Perrinton; two grand children, Jessika and Justin; three brothers, Alan Smith, Richard (Janet) Smith, Lynn (Sharon) Smith all of St. Johns; brother-in-law, Alan Weber of Fowler; many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her parents, two sisters, Linda Smith and Pat Weber, and sister-in-law, Gertrude Smith. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday, November 19, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Linden St., St. Johns with Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy as Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday Nov. 18, 2005, with a Vigil Service at 8:00 pm at the Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422. MI, died November 14, 2005 at the age of 99, in the Hazel Findlay Nursing Home. Pearl was
born August 4, 1906 to James Ross and Della Ford Mehaffey in Cambridge, Ohio. She married
Harold V. Haught August 23, 1928, who died September 19, 1969. She was also preceded in
death by her parents, brothers, Arthur and Elmer, also daughter-in-law, Dorothy Haught
(James). Raymond Dean Sperry, Born February 11, 1912; died November 13, 2005 at the age of 93. Raymond retired from Motor Wheel after many years of service and enjoyed farming throughout his entire life. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Raymond was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and American League Post #0153 in St. Johns. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norena. Surviving are his daughter, Linda (Joseph) Taylor; sons, Ivan (Brenda), Duane (Doris), Marvin (Sandy) and Wayne (Kim); grandchildren, Jody, Jason, Jaymie, Bryan, Annette, Dean, Kurt, Amber, Jennifer, Tommy, Pete and Scott; and five great grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, November 17, 11:00 a.m. at
the St. Peters Lutheran Church, 8990 Church Rd., St. Johns. The family will receive
friends Tuesday and Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Redeemer United Methodist Church, 13980
Shavey Rd in Dewitt. The family is being served by Gorsline-Runciman
Dewitt Chapel. Margaret E. Rademacher, age 90, died Friday, November 11, 2005. Born January 9, 1915 near Alma, Michigan, Margaret was the daughter of Norman and Ethel (Holley) Gove and lived most of her life in St. Johns. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and charter member of Vesper Division of the church. Margaret was a lifelong MSU basketball fan. She was an avid Scrabble player, often entering tournaments. Margaret attended Michigan State College and earned a teaching certificate. She taught country school and then worked 24 years for Doctors S. R. Russell and James Grost. After her retirement she enjoyed tutoring students from Iran and Laos, helping them with their English and other subjects. She was a Red Cross Volunteer at Clinton Memorial Hospital for 10 years. Her marriage of 58 years to Arnold Rademacher ended with his death February 5, 1998. She is survived by her son, Ronald (Lenore) Rademacher of Mason; two granddaughters, Amy (Robert Maruca) Rademacher of New York City and Jill Rademacher of Washington, DC; and sister-in-law, Leola Gove of St. Johns. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Gerald and Maurice Gove. Funeral Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2005 at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns, MI with the Rev. Matt Olson and William Rockwell officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Briggs Library or First Congregational Church of St. Johns. William H. "Bill" Besko, Holt, MI Age 56, a loving husband, son, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend; passed away Friday, November 11, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 27, 1949 in St. Johns, Michigan. He served in the Navy from 1967 to 1971. Bill retired from Auto-Owners as a manager in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Fran Besko of 14 years. Also surviving: daughter, Jennifer (Frederic) Wyble; son, Ryan Besko; stepdaughter, Melissa (Matthew) Winter; stepson, Scott (Beth) Sharkey; four grandchildren; parents, Dorothy (Earl) Andrus, Henry (Donna) Besko; sisters, Rita Sodman, Teala (John) Moon; half-brother, Dirk (Kay) Besko; half-sister, Soni (Mark) Latz; stepbrothers, stepsister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many loving nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Palmer, Bush

be no formal funeral service. Frank M. Smalec age 86 of Elsie, Michigan died Friday, November 11, 2005 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, Michigan . Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyrils Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan on Monday, November 14, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 3 P.M. and 5:30 to 8 P.M. Rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 5:30 P.M. Burial will take place at St. Pauls Catholic Cemetery, Owosso, Michigan, Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate. Frank was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 18, 1919 the son of John & Anna ( Guzy ) Smalec he resided most of his life in the Elsie area. He married Annie Kadera in 1944 at St. Cyrils Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan and was a member of St. Cyrils Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan, and the Knights of Columbus. Frank farmed and he worked for General Motors ( Oldsmobile) in Lansing, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of the polish Union of America, U.A.W. and the Z.C.B.J. Lodge #225. He enjoyed gardening, hunting & fishing and loved to play cards and listen to polkas. Survivors include his wife Annie Smalec of Elsie, Michigan,
3 daughters, Carolyn & Terry Fuller of Henderson, Kentucky, Sandy & Dawain Riebow
of Howell, Michigan, Bonnie & Alvin Schnautz of Evansville, Indiana, 3 sons, John
& Oksana Smalec of Tecumseh, Michigan, Terry & Mona Smalec of Rangely, Colorado,
Dennis Smalec of Ovid, Michigan, 9 grandchildren Jen, Cori, Joseph, Nicki, Wesley, Alina,
Aron, Casey, Cassy, 2 sisters, Nellie Walters of Lakeland, Florida, Stella Krzciuk of
California. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 sisters, Cecelia, Josephine, Veronica , 3
brothers, Marion, Joe & Stanley. Memorial can be made to WOES Radio, St. Cyrils

Elsie Chapel John Presocki passed away
Friday, November 11, 2005 at the age of 85. He was born October 11, 1920 in Cleveland,
Ohio the son of Albert and Josephine (Galka) Przygocki and lived most of his adult life in
Mid-Michigan. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, enjoyed listening to polka
music, was a farmer and a retired General Motors tool and die maker. On September 2, 1950
he married Emily (Millie) Also surviving are his children, Ronald (Cindy) Presocki, Nancy Presocki, and Rosalie Mascho all of St. Johns; five grandchildren, Stacy Mascho, Sarah, Jennifer, Michael, and David Presocki; two brothers, Stan (Ann) Przygocki of Westminster, CA, Bert (Pat) Przygocki of Leslie; three sisters, Laura Moore of Westminster, CA, Helen (Glen) Francisco of Waterford, MI, Sophie Emmenth of Royal Oak, MI. He was preceded in death by one brother Frank. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00
am Monday, November 14, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Linden St., St. Johns with
Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Sunday, with a Vigil Service at 8:00 pm
