Dennis G. Seman Dennis G. Seman died May 16, 2006, at the age of 43 due to liver complications. Born in Saginaw on May 25, 1962, the son of Steven and Helen (Foy) Seman. He was an engineer for Federal Mogul and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Dennis married Kellie Bissell in St. Johns on September 16, 1989 and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Alec Seman and Anna Seman, both at home, mother, Helen Seman of Saginaw, sisters, Martha (Tom) Miller of Saginaw, Susan (Pete) Nelson of Hemlock and Diane (Tim) Robishaw of Saginaw, brother, Steve (Sharon) Seman of Freeland, mother-in-law, Marjorie Bissell-Hallenbeck of St. Johns, sister-in-law, Leisa (Pete) Ratu of Detroit, brother-in-law, Steve (Teresa) Bissell of Fenton, nieces, Molly, Katie, Melodie, Emily and Nicole, nephews, Tom, John, Pat, Dan, Mike, Blaise, Zachary, Ben and Spencer. He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Seman. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 20, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Linden Ave., St. Johns, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 5-8 P.M. Friday at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to his family. John J. Klein died May 16, 2006 at the age of 86. He was born in Fowler, Michigan on October 25, 1919 the son of Peter J. and Leonora E. (Schmitt) Klein. John was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, the Fowler Knights of Columbus as an Honorary Life Member, played with Little Louie's Orchestra and the Mello-Tones. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII having achieved the rank of Sergeant. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post #3733. John married Mary J. Koenigsknecht on May 31, 1949 and she survives him. Also surviving are 7 children, Rose (Neil) Hafner of Fowler, Fr. John Klein of Lansing, William (Ruth) Klein of Pewamo, Monica (Edward) Martin of Fowler, Mary Klein of Okemos, Thomas (Debra) Klein of Pewamo and Lucy (Bruce) Nurenberg of Pewamo, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. John is survived by 5 sisters and brothers, Annabel (Louis) Schafer, Peter (Margaret) Klein, Monica (Martin) Pung, Lawrence (Caroline) Klein and Therese Thelen, and in-laws, Doris Klein, George and Joan Koenigsknecht, Mark Schrauben and Patricia Koenigsknecht. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one son, James "Jake" Klein, sister, Mary Elizabeth Schafer and brothers, Paul, Charles and Philip Klein. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, burial at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler with Rev. Fr. John Klein, Rev. Fr. Timothy E. MacDonald and other priests from the Lansing Diocese concelebrating. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Thursday and Friday at the Goerge Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, Fowler with rosaries prayed at 3 and 8 P.M. Thursday, 3 P.M. Friday and a vigil service prayed 8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Military graveside services by V.F.W. Post #3733, Fowler. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Maryknoll or V.F.W. Post #3733. Gerald V. Simon died May 15, 2006 at the age of 69. He was born May 25, 1936, the son of Oscar and Bernita (Sontag) Simon. He retired as a janitor with the Sisters of St. Joseph at Nazareth in Kalamazoo where he worked since 1978. He resided in Dillon Hall in Nazareth where he had many friends. He is survived by two sisters, Phyllis (Robert) Gilroy of St. Johns and Virginia Ward of Portland, three brothers, Roy (JoAnn) Simon of St. Johns, Marvin (Carol) Simon of Fowler and Ronald (Mary) Simon of DeWitt, many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2006 with burial immediately following at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Timothy E. MacDonald officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, and at 3:00p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Fowler. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Sisters of St. Joseph who were so good to Gerald. formerly of Lansing, Michigan died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at her home. Doris Arlene Patterson died May 11, 2006 at the age of 84. She was born on May 21, 1921 in Olivet, MI, the daughter of Dorion and Helen (Hoffner) Raidel. She was co-author of a book on genealogy, "Messenger Family in Portage and Geauga Counties, Ohio", was an avid genealogist and active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Doris married Hollis B. Patterson December 26, 1937 in Indiana. Doris is survived by her husband, daughter, Janet (Bruce) Cornelius, son, Douglas (Gloria) Patterson, grandchildren, Steven Dodos, Lenny (Noreen) and Erik Patterson, great grandchildren, Christopher Dodos, Jennifer (Grady) Fallon, Benjamin Dodos, Justin and Jesse Patterson. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her grandsons, Anthony Dodos and Patrick Patterson. Private services have already been held and burial at a
