Paul H. Schray Paul H. Schray Laingsburg and Elsie, MI Age 88, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Ovid Healthcare Center. He was born on November 21, 1917 in Wacousta to Benjamin and Nettie (Cramer) Schray. Paul was a member of St. Johns Church of the Nazarene, the Laingsburg American Legion, VFW, Old Timers Baseball Assoc. and the Naval Armed Guard. On August 3, 1940 he married Alice "Jean" Bolton in Laingsburg, she predeceased him in 2000. In 2005 he married Wava Conklin. Paul was a truck driver for Associated Truck Lines for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Wava; four children, Kenneth L. (Phyllis) Schray of Harrison, Janice Roy of Ovid, Julie (Wesley) Bush of Rose Bush, and Paulette (Jacob) Fowler of Chesaning; eight step-children; 20 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Tommy and Dale; two brothers, Andrew and Bobby; two sisters, Betty Schray and Ida Swathwood; and son-in-law, Norman Roy. Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 16, 2006 at 11A.M. at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Laingsburg with Pastor Tim Cockrst officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Laingsburg Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Multiplesclerosis or American Cancer Society. Theda M. Hull, 99, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Maple Rapids, registered nurse, died Monday. Services 11 a.m. Saturday at Congregational Christian Church, Maple Rapids. Arrangements by Osgood Funeral Home, Abbott Chapel, Maple Rapids. Roselyn K. Coon Grand Ledge, MI Passed away June, 8 2006 in Portland. Roselyn was born October 28, 1917 in Westphalia to Anthony and Theresa (nee Cook) Fedewa. Roselyn was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church for sixty years and was actively involved in the Altar Society and a Bible study called the Faith Group. She was preceded in death by husband Wayne in 1989. Loving mother of Barbara (Kendall) Sandborn of Portland, Susan Sanders of Grand Ledge, Karen (Eric) Casler of Holt, James (Nancy) Coon of Ohio, Donald (Donna) Coon of DeWitt, Douglas (Elizabeth) Coon of New Jersey, and Robert (Elizabeth) Coon of Grand Ledge; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Lorraine VerPlanck of California. She was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Frank, and Aloysius Fedewa and sisters, Mary Fox and Hilda Weed. Funeral Mass Monday, June 12 2006, 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Grand Ledge with the Reverend Fr. George Daisy, Celebrant. died June 8, 2006, at the age of 88. Born in Buffalo, New York on July 20, 1917, the
daughter of John and Sophia (Plachno) Pewoski. She was the co-owner of H&H Lounge for
many years before retiring to Florida for 20 years then moved to Charlotte in 2004.
Cecelia married Henry Skopek on August 2, 1941; and he preceded her in death on September
7, 2004. She was also she was preceded in death by her parents. Rufus C. "Doc" Minor St. Johns, MI Born on December 3, 1922 in Chapel, SC, the son of Rufus J. and Lula (Vines) Minor, passed away on June 6, 2006 at the age of 83. Mr. Minor was a veteran of WWII, serving as a Sgt. in the Army Air Corps and was a member of CARDS. He was an Optometrist in Lansing at Superior Optical and in Owosso. He was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; and his son, Randy Minor. Surviving are: his wife of 38 years, Luella E. (Roberts) Minor; stepdaughter, Carla (Clark) Berkhousen of St. Johns; grandchildren, Christine (Tim) Cleaver, Carrie (Jarrod) Workman and Cory (Tristen) Berhousen, all of St. Johns; and great-grandchildren, Austin and Jamison Cleaver, Logan and Peyton Workman, and Madison Berkhousen. Private services will be held for the family on Friday, June 9, 2006 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum. Arrangements by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. |
