Wava M. Messer Wava M. Messer died at home with her family at her side on Friday, November 3, 2006, at the age of 76. She was born in Carson City on January 5, 1930, the daughter of Paul and Ida (Felch) Fields. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fowler. She married Floyd Messer on June 19, 1948 and he survives her. Wava is also survived by her 3 sons, Doug (Toni) Messer of Cicero, IN, Gene (Ellen) Messer of Fowler, and Dave (Cindy) Messer of Grand Ledge, her daughter, Sandra (Dennis) Simon of Fowler, her 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with burial following immediately at Beach Cemetery with Pastor Paul Clark officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday and Monday 2:00 - 4:00P.M and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 11112 W. Ionia St., Fowler. Sympathies may be expressed in the form of contributions to Great Lakes Hospice or St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Esther J. Pratt St. Johns, MI Esther J. Pratt died Friday, November 3, 2006 at the age of 89. She was born June 12, 1917 in Hastings, MI the daughter of Butler and Elnora (Bronson) Smith. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, enjoyed golfing, bicycling, cross country skiing and was a longtime Bridge player. Esther was a volunteer at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor since 1984 and held every post in the volunteer group. She owned and operated Esther's Beauty Shop in St. Johns for many years. Esther married Robert J. Pratt on June 29, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2006. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Wayne Smith. Surviving are three daughters, Peri-Anne (Bill) Warstler of Tampa, FL, Nancy (Larry) Moeggenberg of St. Johns, Candace "Candy" (John) Ammarman of Mason: eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Dunlap of St. Johns. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2006 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422 with Pastor Ken Bremer officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan P.O.
