Julia A. Spitzley

Julia A. Spitzley entered into eternal life November 20, 2006, at the age of 76. She was born in Westphalia on April 7, 1930, the daughter of Walter and Anna (Thelen) Rademacher. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing cards. Julia married Ronald Spitzley in Westphalia on June 17, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 10, 1999.

Surviving are three sons, Steven Spitzley of Fowler, William (Sharon) Spitzley of Ithaca, and Kenneth (Maureen) Spitzley of Westphalia; one daughter, Kathleen Kohagen of Ionia; eight grandchildren, Matthew and Becky Spitzley, Andy, Darrin, Katie and Shannon Spitzley, and Crystal and Amber Kohagen; brothers and sisters, Esther (Urban) Thelen of Westphalia, Urban (Theresa) Rademacher of Lansing, Marie Schneider-Goodman of Portland, William (Elida) Rademacher of New Mexico, Doris (Woody) Neumann of Flint, and Louis (Gladys) Rademacher of Westphalia; brother-in-law, Jerome (Juanita) Spitzley; sisters-in-law, Bernice (Bernard) Hengesbach, Arlene (Wayne) McCausey, Wilma (Albert) Hengesbach, and Helen Spitzley; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Rev. Fr. Raymond Rademacher, brothers-in-law, Harold Schneider, Elon Goodman, Russ Linabery and Norman Spitzley.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. Friday, November 24, 2006 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, burial at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Timothy E. MacDonald officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Wednesday, 6-9 P.M. Thursday at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 11112 W. Ionia, Fowler, with a rosary prayed at 3 and 8 P.M. Wednesday and 8 P.M. Thursday. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Sisters of Christian Charity.

Grace A. Salisbury

Grace A. Salisbury, age 86, died November 20, 2006. Born in Stanton, Michigan October 13, 1920 the daughter of Ray L. and Ruth E. (Pontious) Ferman and lived in St. Johns most of her life. She was a very active member of the First Church of God and the W.C.G. (Women of the Church of God). Grace married Gordon Salisbury December 9, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1977.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth H. (Carol) Salisbury of St. Johns and James Salisbury of Los Angeles, CA, two grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four brothers, Mel (Wilma) Ferman of Escondido, CA, Dewey (Dorothy) Ferman of Zeeland, MI, Ray (Anita) Ferman, Jr. of Sherman,TX, and Robert (Nancy) Ferman of Jackson, MI. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 24, 2006 at the First Church of God, 1063 S. DeWitt Rd., St. Johns, with burial at East Plains Cemetery and Pastor Paul Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 and Thursday 6-8 at the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns. Sympathies may be expressed in the form of contributions to the First Church of God.

Evora M. Easlick

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2006 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.

Evora was born in Owosso, Michigan on March 9, 1927 the daughter of Oliver H. and Lily May ( McCully ) Pierce. She resided most of her life in the Elsie area and graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1946. Evora married Robert Eastlick on May 9, 1950 in Springfield, Illinois. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, collecting angles, doing ceramics, playing bingo and she and Bob enjoyed dancing at the Eagles Club where she was a former member.

She is survived by 1 set of twin daughters; Beverly and Randy Lemke of Elsie, MI, Belinda and Gary Grether of Naples, FL, 3 sons including a set of twins; Johnnie and Cindy Easlick of Chapin, MI, Dan Easlick of Elsie, MI, Robert and Kathy Easlick of Owosso, MI, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, a twin sister Teddy, and 2 brothers John and Harold.

Memorials may be made to H.A.T.S. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
