Emily Presocki Emily (Millie) Presocki passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the age of 84. She was born February 23, 1922 in Stevensville, MI the daughter of Walter and Anna (Orzel) Czubak. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, enjoyed collecting recipes, and worked in the cafeteria at St. Johns High School for several years. Millie married John Presocki on September 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2005. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Julia Kowalski and three brothers, Joseph, Edward and Leo. Surviving are two daughters, Rosalie Mascho and Nancy Presocki; one son, Ronald (Cindy) Presocki all of St. Johns; grandchildren, Stacy Mascho (fiancée Aaron Lightner) and Sarah, Jennifer, Michael and David Presocki; one sister, Mary Stampski of DeWitt and many nieces and nephews. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM
Saturday, February 17, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Linden St, St. Johns with
Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The
family will receive friends and relatives from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday with a Vigil Service
at 7:30 PM at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422. Memorials

Martin died February 13, 2007, at the age of 90. He was born in Fowler on May 4, 1916, the
son of Louis and Louise (Pung) Martin. He lived in Fowler all his life and also lived on
the family farm. He delivered milk by a horse drawn carriage and bottled milk for many
years. He loved to bowl, play cards and square dance with the Maple Twirlers. He has
enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity
Catholic Church in Fowler, he was a 4th degree life member Knights of Columbus Council
#1509 and past Grand Knight of Msgr. Esper Council #3027. Clem married Regina Weber in
Fowler on October 8, 1941. On February 11, 2007,
Esther E. Theis left this world to spend eternity in Gods paradise and to be
reunited with her beloved husband Henry, who passed from this earth on August 28, 2006.
Esther was born September 18, 1924 and lived all her life in the Fowler area. Before a
tragic medical incident stole her vitality, Esther enjoyed traveling, bowling, and dancing
with her one true love, Henry. She was a wonderful, warm, and nurturing wife, mother and
grandmother with a sweet disposition that was never forgotten by those who love her,
despite the challenge and length of her condition. Although we mourn the great loss of
both our parents, we are greatly comforted with the knowledge that Mom and Dad are
reunited, restored and together as they havent been for over 15 years. Norman M. Thelen, 93 of Westphalia, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007. He was born on September 3, 1913 to John and Theresa (Rademacher) Thelen in Westphalia, Michigan. Norman was happily married to Catherine (Smith) for 62 years before her passing in 1999. He was also preceded in death by his son Joseph, granddaughter Jackie, great-granddaughter Heather, and his brother and sister. He is survived by his children Jeanette (Francis) Thelen, Geri (Tom) Simon, Bernice (Jerry) Davis, Walter (Bernadette) Thelen, Mark (Dawn) Thelen , Evelyn (Lee) pohl, Rose (Russ) Snitgen, and Ray (Ann) Thelen, 23 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the St. Joseph Society. Norman was a lifetime member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Fr. Godez Assembly where service was a big part of his life. He served two terms as Grand Knight for the K of C and was activities chairman of the Knights for the Lansing Diocese. Father Al Miller appointed him chairman of the fund drive for the new St. Mary's Elementary School. He served on the Clinton County Intermediate School Board, Tri-County Planning Commission, and Riley Twp. Supervisor. Norman loved making music with his violin, playing cards, watching and playing baseball, and growing beautiful roses. Most of all he loved his wife and often sang, "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" to her. Along with his wife he loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His Catholicism was part and parcel of his being, and will carry him home to the Lord. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Cecilio Reyna at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Westphalia Funeral Chapel Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 Westphalia St. The rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. on Monday and 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a Scriptural Wake Service at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jack R. Rogers age 72 of
Morrice, Michigan formerly of Elsie, Michigan died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Memorial
Healthcare Center Owosso, MI. Carol Joan Jorae, 65, of Traverse City, died on Thursday,
Feb. 8, 2007, while surrounded by her loving family at Munson Hospice House. Keith T. Lawrence, age 58, of Owosso, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Hessler officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. An Eagles Memorial service will be held 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Keith was born in St. Johns, March 24, 1948, the son of George and Nellie (Fox) Lawrence. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On Dec. 8, 1973, he and Patricia Cummings were married in Ovid. He worked for Tri-Mer Corp. for 22 years as a utility man and final assembly, and he owned and operated Keith's Standard Service in Owosso. He was a life member of the Owosso Eagles, acting as president, past president, secretary, and trustee. He enjoyed auto racing, racing at the Owosso Speedway, fishing, and loved spending time with his family. Survivors include: his wife, Patricia; six children, Jane (Fred) Mead, Doug (Nancy) Kirby, Shelly Kirby, Ginger (Jimmy) Absher, Stacy (Todd) Moiles, Keith (Hannah) Lawrence; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. He was predeceased by one grandson, Greg Mead; parents; and a brother, Ed. |
