Mary Marie Redman
Mary Marie Redman, 90 died August 27, 2007 at Hazel
Findlay Country Manor. She was born Feb. 12, 1917 in Eureka, MI the daughter of Harry and
Minnie (Klean) Wiley and lived in Clinton County most of her life. She resided near
Rochester Colony in her younger life. She graduated from Ovid High School in 1934 and St.
Lawrence School of Nursing in 1938.
Marie worked at Clinton Memorial Hospital for many years and also Mid-Michigan District
Health Dept. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Maple River Grande, Farm
Bureau, Urbanites Extension Club, American Red Cross, 4H leader for 20 years and
volunteered to make puppets at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Her social clubs included both
the Pinochle Club and the Bridge Club. Her marriage of 57 years to Merle Redman on Nov. 4,
1930 ended with his death Feb. 5, 1997.
She is survived by her son, Porter and Linda Redman of St. Johns, daughters, Lois Lauro
of Corunna and Linda and Eugene Noble of Milford and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home on Friday, Aug.
31, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Cayle Beagle officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest
Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday, 2-4
and 6-8 P.M. Memorials may be given to Clinton Memorial Hospital, St. Johns Senior Center,
First United Methodist Church or Hazel Findlay Country Manor.
Brandy Lynn Presson
Brandy Lynn Presson age 23 of Elsie, Michigan died
Sunday, August 26, 2007 at home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on
Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Herb Wheelock will officiate with burial at
Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 28th
and Wednesday, August 29th, from 2-8 p.m. with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the
Smith Family Funeral Home, Elsie Chapel.
Brandy was born in St. Johns, Michigan on January 4, 1984 the daughter of Russell Alan and
Penny A. ( Craig ) Presson. Brandy was a life long Elsie area resident and graduated from
Ovid-Elsie High School. Brandy was a member of Chapin United Methodist Church. She was a
honorary member of ZCBJ Lodge #225 in Bannister. Brandy was a former Elsie Dairy Festival
Princess and a correspondent for Ovid-Elsie Maurder School Paper. She was also a former
Poster Child for MDA and was active in MDA Telethons and went to MDA camps every summer.
Brandy had many friends.
She is survived by her parents Roger and Penny Reha of Elsie, sister Karrie Presson of
Elsie, brother Jeremiah Reha of Elsie, grandparents Margaret Craig of Florida, Betty
Presson of Elsie, Raymond and Helen Reha of Elsie, niece Kayla Moody of Elsie, nephew
Connor Coohon of Elsie, special caregiver Laurie Snyder, several aunts, uncles and
cousins, many close friends, caregivers, and nurses. She is predeceased by her father
Russell Presson grandfathers; Jack W. Craig and J.B. Presson dear friend Joe Komora,
uncle, John Presson and cousins, Melissa George Jordan Tyler and Brittany Lott.

Wanda Kay Beracy
Wanda Kay Beracy age 59 of Ashley, Michigan died
Sunday, August 26, 2007 at at her home after a 27 year battle with heart disease.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI on
Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jon Pohl will officiate. Visitation will be
held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 4:30 to 9:00 P.M.
Wanda was born in Alma, Michigan on November 18, 1947 the daughter of Harry and Edna (
Shaw ) Brandal. She resided most of her life in Ashley, Michigan and graduated from Ashley
High School with the class of 1965. Wanda married Robert "Rick" Beracy on
September 3, 1966 in Ithaca, Michigan. She was a homemaker as well as a former Ashley
Village Treasurer. Wanda also was a reading mentor at Ashley Schools, and a 4-H leader.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, her family, reading, traveling, crossword puzzles and brain
teaser games and she was a Nascar #24 fan. She attended every family function from her
sons playing sports to her grandchildrens school functions. Wanda attended Ashley United
Methodist Church, and was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Michigan
Sheriffs Association.
She is survived by her husband Robert "Rick" Beracy of Ashley, MI, 3 sons: Brent
and Cindy Beracy of Ashley, MI, Kent and Mindy Beracy of Ashley, MI, Joseph Beracy of
Grand Rapids, MI, 3 grandchildren; Katie, Kayla, and Mekenzie, 3 step granddaughters;
Marian, Meranda, and Maggie, 3 step great grandchildren; Kendall, Gregory, and Cameron,
mother Edna Johnson of Ashley, MI, and 2 sisters; Paulette and Neil Somers of Chapin, MI,
and Lana and Bill Sanders of Marshall, MO. She is predeceased by her father, and brother
Richard Brandal.

Dr. William W. Jordan
Dr. William W. Jordan, D.O. formerly of Fowler, age 77, passed away Sunday, August 26,
2007 at his home.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the
Christian Funeral Home in Cheboygan. The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August
29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church in Cheboygan. Please call

Marci Lynn (Walter) Draper
Marci Lynn (Walter) Draper, 40 died Aug. 26, 2007
following a long illness with Juvenile Diabetes. Marci was born October 9, 1966 in
Lansing, MI the daughter of Robert and Shirley (Hogle) Walter. She graduated from
Ovid-Elsie High School in 1984. Marci had worked at ITT Hancock and D.O.C. in Detroit
until forced to retire. She was a member of the Red Hat Chicks of Ovid and enjoyed car
races and going to the casino.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Shirley Walter of Ovid, sister Karmen Walter
of Warren, MI, grandparents Lawrence and Margaret Walter of Ovid and her dog, Chelsea. She
was preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph Hogle and Virginia and Arthur Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home 989-224-4422 on
Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Kathy Leydorf officiating. Burial will
follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the funeral
