Pastor Wesley H. Farrier Pastor Wesley H. Farrier died January 13, 2008, at the age of 80. He was born in DeWitt on April 10, 1927, the son of Earl and Lucille (Pierce) Farrier. He was a retired pastor and founder of Hope Bible Baptist Church in Maple Rapids, a retired Federal Mogul employee and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. Wesley married Geraldine Gardner in St. Johns on September 27, 1944 and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Robert (Sharon) Farrier, Marilyn (Ellis) Brumbaugh, Terry Moore and John Farrier, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Betty Jean Farrier, brothers, Pastor Willard Farrier and Wayne Farrier and sister, Wiona White. Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Hope Bible Baptist Church, 508 S. Maple, Maple Rapids, with Pastor Steve Lang officiating. There will be no visitation. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Hope Bible Baptist Church. Arrangements by the Abbott Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes. Edith J. Musser, 83, of Belding, formerly of St. Johns, died Sunday January 14, 2008. Services 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Belding. Merlin H. Durbin Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jeanette; two sons, Roger and Bruce (June), all of St. Johns; three grandchildren, Mindy Durbin and fiancé Matt Christensen, Tonia (Jack) Luna, and Jace Durbin; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elaine (Robert) Litwiller and Dorothy McKelvey, all of St. Johns, Virgilene O'Connell of Carson City; and one brother, Duane of Fowler. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January
17, 2008 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422 with Pastor George Brinley officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery with military honors provided by the St. Johns
Honor Guard. The family will receive relatives and friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and
Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Michigan Parkinson Foundation,
