"Dick" Steffens L. Richard "Dick" Steffens DeWitt Age 78, died December 14, 2008; born October 14, 1930, in St. Johns, MI to L. Russell and Emily Ann (Hoelzer) Steffens. Dick served with the U.S. Navy in the Seabees and Drum and Bugle Corps for four years. He was employed by Michigan Bell and AT & T for 33 years and retired from Ingham Regional Medical Center after 10 years. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Susan; one daughter, Emily L. (Randy) Joy of St. Johns; two sons, Rich (Amy) Steffens of Laingsburg and David (Laura) Steffens of Big Rapids, MI; 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Mikaela, Rachael, Ellen, Michael and Nichole; sister, Dorothy (Howard) Sousley of St. Johns. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 18 at 12:00 Noon at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 East Washington, DeWitt with the Rev. Cayle Beagle officiating. MI. Sallie M. Bower Zephyrhills, FL Age 62, passed away on December 1, 2008 in Tampa, Florida. She was formerly of DeWitt and St. Johns. Sallie was born in St. Johns, MI on April 20, 1946 to Van and Irene (Smedley) McClintock. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Russel; children, Shelly (John) Moody of DeWitt, Brent (Jodi) Bower of Hudsonville; 4 grandchildren, Betsy and John-Michael Moody, and Brayden and Noah Bower; brother, Gordon (Rita) McClintock of Holt; sisters, Vandalee (Alan) Steavens of Wayne, Eileen (Roy) Witgen of Fowler; sister-in-law, Patsy (Vaughn) Cook (Rothbury); brothers-in-law, David (Gillian) Peck of Stockbridge, Daryel (Diana) Peck of DeWitt; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and mother-in-law Ardella Peck. A memorial service to celebrate Sallie's life will take
place on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205
