Photos of new-born fawns: a rare encounter

fawn3_jpg.jpg (31519 bytes)

It’s not every day that an opportunity arises to witness a new-born fawn in the woods – a rare encounter, indeed.

While scouring woodlots in Essex Township several weeks ago for delectable Morel mushrooms, Matt Dedyne and Nick Lamers happened across not just one newly-born fawn, but a set of twins. The pair of woodsmen were careful and extremely cautious not to disturb the setting in any way – mother doe was certainly nearby and would not have appreciated a "human encounter" with her little babies.

Nick was able to capture the young fawns on film, however – truly unique photographs of nature at its best.
