St. Johns Board of Education Strategic Plan Timeline For Bond Election On August 5, 2008 Friday, April 11, 2008 - Deadline for receipt by Thrun Law Firm, P.C. of draft Preliminary Qualification Application documents for subsequent hand delivery to the Michigan Department of Treasury. Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. - Meeting in our office located at 2900 West Road, Suite 400, East Lansing, Michigan, with the Michigan Department of Treasury; Glenn Neinhuis of Kingscolt Associates, Inc., the project architects; H.J. Umbaugh & Associates, CPA, LLP, the financial consultant; and Thrun Law Firm, P.C. to finalize the preliminary qualification application. Monday, April 21, 2008 - Meeting of the Board of Education to approve the Preliminary Qualification Application. Day following Board meeting - Return two originally signed Preliminary Qualification Applications to Thrun Law Firm, P.C. via overnight delivery for subsequent hand delivery to the Department of Treasury. Thrun Law Firm, P.C. will request preliminary qualification approval not later than Monday, May 19, 2008. Monday, May 19, 2008 - Board of Education meeting calling the election. On or before Tuesday, May 27, 2008 - Forward ballot wording to Election Coordinator (City or County Clerk). On or before Monday, June 30, 2008 - Registration notice must be published by the Election Coordinator once in a newspaper of general circulation in the District. Monday, July 7, 2008 - Last day of registration for this election. On or before Wednesday, July 16, 2008 - Absent voter ballots must be available. On or before Tuesday, July 29, 2008 - Election notice must be published by the Election Coordinator once in a newspaper of general circulation in the District. Election clerk offices must be open until2 p.m. the last Saturday before the election to accommodate application requests for absent voter ballots. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 - The polls of election will open at 7 o'clock in the morning and close at 8 o'clock in the evening.
