Mary M. (Schneider) McLellen
Mary M. (Schneider) McLellen, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, teacher and friend, passed away gracefully Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the age of 52. She was born in St. Johns, Michigan on January 6, 1958, the daughter of Raymond and Jacqueline (Laboda) Schneider. Mary married Michael McLellen on October 6, 1979 in St. Johns. Mary was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Kentwood, Michigan and held on to her deep faith throughout her life.
Mary is survived by her husband, daughters, Christin (Bob) Armstrong and Jennifer (Gerard Montigny) McLellen; son, Ian McLellen and grand daughter, Amelia Rose Montigny. Mary is also survived by her sisters, Tina (Mike) Simon, Denine (Dave) Ike, Connie (Gary) Ehlke, Jan (Greg) Havlik and Kathy (Dave) Juntunen; brothers, Ray (Pam) Schneider and Jeff (Julie) Schneider; mother-in-law, Elizabeth McLellen; brother-in-law, Gary (Robin) McLellen and many nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Vernon Wayne McLellen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday and 9-11 a.m. Saturday. There will be a vigil/rosary service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed in the form of contributions to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure 5005 Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, Suite 250 Dallas, TX 75244 or the Thornapple-Kellogg Public Schools 3885 Bender Road Middleville, MI 49333. Patrick Geller
Patrick Geller passed away February 5, 2010 at the age of 59. He was born in St. Johns, Michigan on March 17, 1950, the son of Carl Geller and Mary (Riley) Geller. Patrick was a retired Facilities Manager for the State of Michigan. Patrick loved his family, golf and Notre Dame.
He is survived by his daughters, Andrea and Alicia; sons, Mark and Scott; sister, Carla Geller; brothers, Leo (Mary) Geller and Richard Geller and niece, Tiffany (Harold) Geller-Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo, burial at St. Joseph Cemetery also in Pewamo with the Rev. Fr. Charlon Mason officiating. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at the St. Mary’s Chapel in Westphalia. There will be a rosary service at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of contributions to the Pewamo-Westphalia Athletic Boosters. Mitiary Honors will be provided by V.F.W. Post 3733. Hilda Louise Kusnier
Hilda Louise Kusnier, age 87, of Elsie, MI passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church Owosso, MI on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Fr. John Fain will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 6, 2010 from 6-8 PM and Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 1-3 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI. A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Hilda was born in Columbus Grove, Ohio on January 21, 1923, the daughter of John Henry and Laura Agnes (Karhoff) Kreinbrink. Hilda married Mike Kusnier in 1945. He passed away March 13, 1983. She resided most of her life in Elsie, MI.
Hilda was a 4-H Leader and an avid reader. She also loved to travel. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Owosso, MI. Hilda was also a member of the ZCBJ Lodge in Bannister, MI.
She is survived by daughter Carol and Robert Orlowski of Potterville, MI, son Walter and Sharon Kusnier of Dexter, MI, daughter Nancy Carroll of Rochester, NH, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers; Cyrlius and Joan Kreinbrink of Bay City, MI, Virgil and Ruth Kreinbrink of Owosso, MI, Robert and Jackie Kreinbrink of Chesaning, MI, sister Norma Hudecek of Chesaning, MI, 2 sister in laws, Leona Kreinbrink of Chesaning, Nancy Kreinbrink of Pt. Charlotte, FL and many nieces and nephews. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Rose Marie at birth, 2 brothers Sylvester and Leo and sister Alice Marie, brother in law, Ed Hudecek.
Memorials contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, Michigan.
