At about 4:45 p.m. on Thursday January 22, 2009 Deputies from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a breaking and entering at Rusher’s Market located at 7002 E. M-21 in Ovid Township. During the investigation three suspects were identified and located. A majority of the stolen property has been recovered.
It also has been determined that these individuals were also involved in other crimes in Clinton County and Gratiot County. These include Wednesday larcenies from the Park and Ride located on M-21 near US-127 in Bingham Township and a breaking and entering at 6010 Maple River Road in Duplain Township.
These crimes are still under investigation, and the suspects are currently in custody. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by officers from the Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office and the Ithaca State Police Post.
