Second round interviews March 16-19
Members of the St. Johns Public Schools Board of Education selected four finalists for the position of superintendent, following initial first-round interviews that were held March 10-12. The following candidates will participate in second-round interviews next week.
Joseph Candela, Superintendent, Akron-Fairgrove Schools
Dr. Kenneth Ladoceur, Superintendent, Gilpin County School District, Black Hawk, Colorado
Michael Smajda, Elementary Principal, Escanaba Area Public Schools
John Strycker, Superintendent, New Lothrop Area Public Schools
Each candidate will be interviewed in individual, open sessions on the evenings of March 16-19. The public is invited to attend a reception for each candidate from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., each night in the media center at St. Johns High School.
Board members will have dinner with each candidate, following the reception.
Interviews for each candidate begin at 7:45 p.m. in the high school band room. The interviews will be conducted in open session meetings.
