Lights, camera, read was the theme of a fun-filled reading night held on March 5, 2009. Students in the St. Johns elementary schools’ reading programs were the stars as they were invited to “build a book” with their families and then read their creations to the audience. They also had the opportunity to take “photo ops” and received authors’ awards at a special ceremony held at the conclusion of the evening.

A special thanks to Steve Cameron for volunteering to be our official photographer, St. Johns McDonalds for donating drinks for the dinner, St. Johns Wal Mart for donating a gift card used to purchase materials, and the staff at Oakview Elementary for helping with the program set-up and decorations.
