Recent revenue sharing cuts from the state with the potential for large additional cuts forecasted, prompted the City of St. Johns Parks and Recreation Board to hold a public forum on the future of the city pool. Discussion will center on keeping the pool open or closing it after the 2009 season.
The city pool has served the St. Johns area for more than 50 years, but without community involvement and support its doors could close. If you would like to be involved with the future of the pool, you will want to attend this meeting.
The meeting will be held on May 20th in the Clinton County Courthouse at 7:00 p.m. in Conference Room C. Questions about this meeting can be answered by calling the recreation department at (989) 224-8944 ext 227.
