Michael Pettigrew, 56, of St. Johns, was killed in a two-car accident Saturday evening at the intersection of Francis and Parks roads in Clinton County’s Bengal Township.
According to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Pettigrew was a passenger in a car being driven north on Francis Road by his wife, Paula Pettigrew, 55, at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Their car was struck by a vehicle westbound on Parks Road driven by 17-year-old Megan Maddox of Fowler. The Fowler teen, they say, failed to stop at the stop sign at Parks and Francis.
Paula Pettigrew and Maddox were taken to Sparrow Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The accident remains under investigation.
