Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County announces the start of their fifth housing project located at 8949 Herbison Road, Eagle, near the corner of Wacousta Road.
The project began on Wednesday, June 17 with a blessing from Reverend Lyle Heaton, Pastor of Wacousta Community United Methodist Church, and Reverend G. Travis Downs, President of Habitat for Humanity of Clinton County. The construction project began with the demolition of an existing house on the property on Thursday, June 18, 2009.

The new homeowner, Michelle Zielinski, and her son, Logan, were on hand for the blessing of the property. As the homeowner, Michelle and her fiancé, Keith Hurst, will be full partners by contributing 500 sweat equity hours of their own in the building of their house. Because of the generosity of many volunteers and many businesses who donate gifts in kind, this home will be sold at an extremely reasonable price, and at zero interest, to the family.
Wacousta Community United Methodist Church has partnered with Habitat for this project. The entire church community has contributed through fundraising events and through volunteers on the project.
Habitat is still in need of volunteers and donations for this project. Those interested in any aspect of the project may contact Sue Carroll at 517-669-8248 or habitatclinton@yahoo.com for further information.
