Volunteers are beginning to refurbish the auditorium at the Wilson Center, formerly Rodney B. Wilson High School auditorium. In the past few weeks they have been removing the wooden seats which will be sent somewhere over by Grand Rapids for refinishing. The group estimates that it will cost about $250 per seat to repair, paint and upholster each seat.
The first order of business for the committee will be to repair the cement floor and replace the aisle runners.
More information will be available to the community during the Mint Festival, and cannisters will be located around the area so that everyone can pitch in to support this community effort.
