Special Olympics Area 28 is hosting a Regional tournament on July 18th, 2009 at the fields behind Bee’s Sports in St Johns. Currently, we have 13 teams that have committed to this tournament. This event is open to the public and the games should start at 9am and finish by 3pm.
They are in need of persons who would like to volunteer as umpires, score keepers, assist athletes and help in any way needed. The Big Lug and some of the Lugnut players will be on hand. There will also be a special appearance by Minty the Chamber mascot.
This is their first time hosting a softball tournament, and they say that they really want to make it a very enjoyable time for everyone. Your support would be very much appreciated.
