Ford garage
by Barry Bauer

This was the Ford garage on the N.W. corner of Higham and Brush Sts. circa 1940 judging by the car on the right. The ragtop Ford on the left had two nearly flat tires on the side towards the camera.
At one time there were four car dealerships within a block from each other on W. Higham. The list included: Pohl Bros. Chevy and Olds on the northeast corner of Higham and Brush, Egan Ford and Mercury, Smithy’s Buick and Pontiac on Higham and Ottawa, and W. M. Luecht and Son Chrysler and Plymouth on the southwest corner of Higham and Brush.
This was known as the Egan building and is now home to Citizen Bank.
