The City of St. Johns Parks and Recreation board will host its second meeting concerning the Veterans Memorial Pool. Recent revenue sharing cuts from the state and the potential for more and larger cuts coming coupled with the need for improvements to the pool, has prompted the City of St. Johns Parks and Recreation Board will hold a public forum on the future of the city pool.
Discussion will center on keeping it open or closing it for the 2010 season.
The city pool has served the St. Johns area for more than 50 years but without community involvement and support its doors could close.
Tthe last meeting was attended by only 5 concerned residents.
If you would like to be involved with the future of the pool, you will want to attend this meeting. The meeting will be held on September 16th in the Clinton County Courthouse at 7:00 p.m. in Board of Commissioners Chambers.
