Tom Doubrava worked on the Aluminum Bonding Line. It’s a process that bonds a coil of aluminum and a coil of steel to create aluminum strip. Remembering back to when I first started at Federal-Mogul, that process was behind closed doors. That’s no longer the case.
That also reminds me of a time when we were expecting company for a plant tour. Somebody got the idea to have all the name plaques removed from the presses so the guest would not know who we bought our presses from.
Tom left Federal-Mogul to go into the carpentry business.
