Bob Paksi at one time was a bushing facer machine operator. He transferred to the Electrical Department as a trainee.

The Electrical Department didn’t exist when I hired in. Electricians were a part of the Maintenance Department. Federal-Mogul management finally spun off the electricians into their own department with Tony Slamka as its first foreman.

Bob had several relatives that worked at F-M including his dad, Joe, his uncle, Tom, brothers Dick and Jim, brother-in-law, Kenny Heibeck, and the list includes a few cousins.
