The mid-Michigan community will have a rare opportunity to hear a native St. Johns High School graduate in a recital close to home when Lisa Ormston Bontrager presents a recital of French Horn music Nov. 8, beginning at noon in the Music Auditorium of the College of Music on the campus of Michigan State University.

Ormston Bontrager is “one-half” of Mirror Image, an acclaimed horn duo that includes Michelle Stebleton. They are joined by pianist Tomoko Kanamaru in the program featuring a variety of works from Luigi Boccherini (1743-1805) to Raymond Chase (b. 1970). The duo has performed extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe and recorded on the MSR Classics label.
