Lansing resident Nancy Jenkins, a two and one-half year Associate, has been named the Clinton Memorial Hospital November/December Healthcare Hero.
A technician for the Central Supply Department, Jenkins received her certification as a central supply technician from Lansing Community College. Her outstanding positive attitude as well as her strong work ethic earned Jenkins’ nomination as Healthcare Hero.
“Nancy is a valued employee in Central Supply,” said Kathleen McElroy, RN, manager of the CMH Central Supply Department. “Nancy is very flexible with her schedule and extremely conscientious about her work. She always looks for opportunities to assist her coworkers.”
Jenkin’s hobbies include shopping and gardening.
She and her husband, Jim, share their home with daughter, Danielle, and feline friend, Earl Gray.

Clinton Memorial Hospital Vice President of Patient Services Cathy Hallead, left, joins CMH Central Supply Manager Kathleen McElroy, RN, second from right, and CMH Vice President and COO Kevin Price in congratulating Nancy Jenkins.
This prestigious award is presented only six times a year. Healthcare Heroes are nominated by their peers based on recognition criteria defined in the Sparrow Health System Pillars of Excellence, which include people, service, resources, quality and growth. Associates are chosen for their exceptional service to Clinton Memorial Hospital’s patients and families as well as for outstanding job performance in one or more of the pillar criteria.
