On Saturday, December 5 the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce will hold its 7th Annual Christmas Festival. The event will be held at the Clinton County RESA Building at 1013 S US 27 in St. Johns and there will be something for everyone during the day. Here is what is planned:
8:00 – 10:30 am: Breakfast with Santa – a breakfast of scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, cereal, breads/sweets and beverages will be available. The cost is only $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 & under. Due to Santa’s limited time only those participating in the breakfast will have time to see Santa. You are encouraged to bring your own camera for pictures with Santa. Purchase of advanced tickets are encouraged – you can get them from the Chamber of Commerce (1013 S US 27 in St. Johns) at the St. Johns Reminder office (109 W Higham Street in St Johns) and at Big Boy of St. Johns (1408 S US 27 in St. Johns).
8:00 – 3:00 pm: Craft Show – over 50 vendors will have items for sale. There will be everything from baked goods & candy to jewelry, ceramics, wood items and more. Throughout the day over 40 items will be available to win in a raffle – only $1 per ticket!
8:00 – 3:00 pm: Festival of Trees – over 20 theme decorated trees will be on display in the lobby of the RESA Building. Each tree will have a collection bucket. Everyone is encouraged to vote for their favorite tree with a money donation. The tree that collects the most donations will get to decide what charity receives all the money collected. If you would like to submit a tree, contact the Chamber at 989-224-7248.
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Lunch – the Clinton County Senior Center will have lunch available of sloppy Joes and nachos, chips, beverages, etc. Funds raised from the lunch will help the Senior Center pay utility bills during the winter months.
12:00 – 3:00 pm: Kids Crafts – kids of all ages can come and make homemade crafts (most crafts will be .25 to .50 each). Many of the items will make great Christmas gifts for friends and family members. There will be everything from bookmarks to ornaments to treat bags available to make. Each of the kits will be individually bagged so if you are not able to stay or come back for the crafts you can purchase the kits to take home and make.
If you have any questions about the Christmas Festival, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 989-224-7248.
