Annual Food Drive

Beginning Friday October 14th, Briggs Public Library would like your help in filling up our lobby display case with non-perishable food items to donate to the local food bank. Bring your canned and dried goods to the circulation desk and we will place them in the display case. What a great way to teach our children to care for our friends and neighbors in need! Food donations will be accepted until Friday, November 18th.

*Please note: cans and boxes are preferred over glass containers and food expiration dates will be observed before acceptance.

Tween Program

All Tweens (ages 9-12) are invited to celebrate A Candlelit Christmas on Monday, December 5th from 7-8pm. This will be a special event featuring a story read by candlelight, great snacks, a Christmas trivia game, and a chance to design and make your own candle.

Registration is required and begins Monday, November 7th. Don’t miss this fun holiday occasion!

Chapter Chatter

There are a few spaces left in our Chapter Chatter Program. This transitional program with chapter books, snacks, games, or crafts is for ages 6 thru 8 years old. The 1st week staff will present titles for them to choose from. Staff will then read the title chosen to the kids.

Which books will make the cut? Which books will make it to the next round? Their votes will make the decision! Monday evenings 7-7:45 pm, November 7th-28th, 2011.

Registration is required.

Caroling Kids

Attention kids ages 4-10! Join our Caroling group as we sing songs of the season to greet Santa Claus at our Holiday Programs.

Registration is from Oct. 11 to Nov. 1. Required practices will be on Tuesdays, Nov. 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 6:30-7:00. Carolers need to be able to attend at least one of our three Holiday Programs which are on Dec. 1 and 2 from 6-8 and Dec. 3 from 10-noon.

Come join the fun and catch the Holiday Spirit!
