Don Zimmerman says, “The house on the NW corner of Oakland and E, Cass St. used to be the Convent for the nuns who served at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

“I am still in Colorado Springs. I hope my garden is growing in St, Johns,” he added.

Ed McDowell wrote: “House is on NW corner of Oakland and Cass. It was Dr Grost’s house and later he donated to the Catholic Church and it was the Nun’s house.”

“This home is at the Southwest corner of Oakland and Cass Streets,” wrote Dawn Benson.

“That is a house next to St. Joe on Cass St. The nuns used to live in it,” according Joyce Rinckey of Lansing.
