Tobi

Tobi is a beautiful, fun-loving, extremely affectionate dog that loves to be around people! He is a wonderful companion and was a part of a family for three years. He was purchased from a local breeder (who participates in dog shows) when he was 8 weeks old. Tobi likes to stay close and is always up for some affection and playtime. He has a lot of energy so he really enjoys a daily walk and playing tug or fetch outside in the backyard.

Tobi was professionally trained (he attended a 2 week boot-camp followed by consistent group and private lessons over the past 1.5 years) and therefore knows a large number of commands. He walks extremely well on leash with no pulling or tugging. He’ll even show off a few of his special tricks for a little treat!

Tobi is house trained and crate trained and is happy in all environments. He usually sleeps in his dog-bed in the family room but sometimes likes to get cozy in his crate. He enjoys going on car-rides and any daily walking adventure.

He doesn’t realize his own strength/weight and therefore needs to be careful around small children. He thinks he is a lap dog and loves to snuggle. He is up-to-date on all of his shots, is well taken care of, healthy, and very loved by his owners.

Due to changes in the previous owner’s lives, Tobi was spending too much time in a crate for his age and needs. Now he is on the search to find an appropriate home. The ideal setting would be an adult, or adult couple, familiar with the breed, looking for a loyal and loving companion, but who have no small children. We hope you can help us find him a good home!!

From: Kim Wagner – The Perfect Pooch Training – Tobi stayed with me for a weekend and he is WONDERFUL. He is trained better than my dogs and has a wonderful temperament. I took him everywhere, he played with some male pits at work and spent the day in the training center and grooming salon and was wonderful. He played with Misha (my female Ridgeback 11 years old) and he was good but played rough for her age.

I think he would do well with someone who needs a companion dog (avid walker – he is wonderfully leash trained) I would go with older kids because of his strength. And preferably a female playmate though the males he did get exposed too, he did well with but they are also very submissive personalities that I paired him up with. I don’t know about cats but since he is 3 and did not have exposure to them I would say no.

Please Note: Tobi will not be adopted outside the state of Michigan
