A storm swept through St. Johns in the early hours of July 5th after the residents had celebrated Independence Day. Trees were downed by high winds and many homes damaged.
Clean up crews were hard at work and many homeowners had small limbs and brush by the curbside for pickup by the city. Some businesses and homes were without electricity and crews were working on that.
On the plus side St. Johns received 1½ inches of much needed rain.
