Get Connected at Briggs
Registration is now open for two new free adult computer classes at Briggs Public Library. Participants can learn the essentials of word processing with Introduction to Microsoft Word 2007 on Wednesday, August 1st. During this class we will cover all the steps of creating a basic Word document: entering and formatting text, adjusting the page layout, and inserting images. We ask that patrons with laptop computers be using Microsoft Word 2007 version or newer. If you are new to the world of e-mail, you can join us on Wednesday, August 8th for E-mail for Beginners.

Using Google’s Gmail e-mail service we will cover the basics of e-mail, from composing and editing messages, to attaching files. Patrons without an e-mail address will have the opportunity to set up one during the class. Both classes will begin at 9am and will run for 90 minutes, and we recommend participants have basic mouse and keyboarding skills, and be familiar with using the Internet prior to signing up for these classes. Separate registration is required for each class, and is available to all adult patrons with a valid library card.
