July 11

Be prepared to get your boots scootin’ and your toes tappin’ when Bullwhip brings its own brand of Country music to the St. Johns City Park Performance Shell on Wednesday, July 11, as part of the weekly Concert in the Park summer music series. Show time is 7 p.m. at the beautiful outdoor venue; no admission charge.

The high-energy band is making its mark on the Michigan music scene, performing modern Top 40 Country music that features the raw emotion of its guitar/vocalists and driving beat of a solid rhythm core. Bullwhip members include Jeff Dietrich on drums, Steve Foreman on bass and vocals, Todd Hunt on guitar and vocals and Matt Foreman on guitar and vocals.

Bullwhip has been touring all over Michigan for the past three years, playing the Country bar circuit from Toby Keith’s Bar & Grill in Auburn Hills to The Back Forty Saloon in Grand Rapids – north and south and many points in between with regular stops at The Whiskey Barrel Saloon in Lansing. The band is slowing down for a bit in upcoming months as it completes work on a debut CD, but will be front and center at the day-long Clinton County Country Music Fest that’s set for July 21at the St. Johns City Park Performance Shell.

Concert in the Park is sponsored by the Clinton County Arts Council and the city of St. Johns, with support from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts. In addition, Clinton County 4-H, is being recognized at the July 11 concert for its financial support of CCAC and the summer music series.

Concerts are held each Wednesday evening, beginning at 7 p.m., in the St. Johns City Park. The St. Johns Lions and Lioness Club staff a concession stand that offers light refreshments. All concerts are held rain or shine.

For information on Concert in the Park call the Clinton County Arts Council, (989) 224-2429.
