pursethOffer A rousing time – November 14

It’s not your grandma’s bingo game, but she would have thrilled with the new approach.

Members of Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary have combined a supply of bingo cards with an inventory of hand bags and expect to crowd the conference room at the fascinating home of Agro-Culture Liquid Fertilizer for an afternoon of Purse Bingo. Prizes of the traditional game have been replaced by hand bags and winners will tuck under their arm or hang from their shoulder a purse – perhaps a designer model – ready for everyday use or as an accent on a special occasion.

A limit of 200 tickets has been set for the November 14 event which will begin around 1 p.m. and run to 4 p.m. Tickets at $15.00 include general admission providing one bingo sheet for each of 19 games with purse prizes valued at a minimum of $40.00. Along with bingo activity there will be a 50/50 drawing and chances to win a number of door prizes. Additional bingo sheets are 3 for $1.00.

Sparrow Clinton Hospital has contributed one hand bag valued at $300-$400 that will serve as a final afternoon coverall game. Tickets for that finale will be 3 for $1.00.

Other activities will prevail throughout the afternoon including complimentary snacks and a coffee bar offering a selection of various flavors.

Co-chairs for this unique fund raising event are Carey Harris and Gay Baker. For additional information or details or for ticket purchases contact Shelley Redman 517 331-0665 (shelleyredman54@gmail.com) or Robin Ingalls 517 281-8004 (robin.motz@53.com).

Meanwhile, in their effort to satisfy a $100,000.00 pledge in support of the new emergency wing at Sparrow Clinton Hospital, Auxiliary members continue with other fund raisers, including a Pasta Bar at St. Johns Big Boy Wednesday September 30; a holiday poinsettia sale Saturday December 5 and a two-day bus trip to Chicago December 6 and 7 (reservation deadline October 20).
