Breck Fabish was the last
plant manager at the St. Johns plant. He was also the plant manager at Greenville at the
same time. His predecessor was Rick Nikolich who took the blame for the cost overrun from
dismantling the St. Johns Plant. I keep hearing the cost is three to four times more than
Corporate planned.
For a company trying to come out of bankruptcy, this dumb move has cost
them a bundle.
And for a plant that at one time was considered to be the best in the
corporation, weve fallen a long ways in a very short time. That fall only existed in
the eyes of corporate executives. The employees never felt that way.
I have a picture of every plant manager at St. Johns Federal-Mogul plant
except one, Mike Craig. Im still hoping it shows up on my computer some day.
